Landshark in Georgia

Post by ~ Parrot Bay ~ »

A friend of mine went to a local United Way party last night, Buffett themed (Scott Kirby was performing), and they had a tasting booth set up for Landshark.

The reps there said that Landshark will be in bars & restaurants this month and in store by mid March.

I assume that's all you've done is seen it. You have better taste in alcohol than to drink that crap.

according Nicole at the Buffett concert last year I think, someone handed me one, I took one sip and handed it back, I am glad I don't really remember it but it must have been bad enough to only need one sip to know I didn't need another.

Yeah, its been around the west metro Atlanta area since mid-fall. It's still overpriced for the product and I haven't bought any other than that at Phillips last year.

I'd have been surprised if it wasn't in Georgia since I've seen it in the supermarket up here in New Hampshire. I saw it on the shelf and for a second thought about it, saw it was marked $6.99, thought now way am I paying that for cheap beer that needs a lime to kill the flavor and odor why so expensive, and then remembered that people pay that much for Corona. Why not buy something domestic and cheap since you're just going to kill the flavor with lime anyway? But I digress, I think...

I have to admit, I like the LL Beer. I was given my first 6 pack, here in Ga, for my Birthday in November.....(when I turned 25 [smilie=asa.gif] )
My wife likes it as well, and she's not a big beer person. It is just overpriced in my opinion.

They used that quote in the first ads that came out last year. Biggest mistake they could have made, in my opinion. Isn't beer supposed to be "drinkable"? Although Landshark really isn't "beer" so I digress.

I like it, but I like most any beer (if it is cold). I have seen it in a few places here in Georgia for awhile...one place is in my refrigerator.. :D

Landshark arrived in extreme South Georgia just since around Christmas. A local Applebee's put up a neon sign and a local Mexican restuarant just started having it available.
To me, as others have said, it's similar to Corona, perhaps somewhat lighter. It's OK once in awhile; personally, I prefer a Killian's Red, an Amstel Light or a Heineken. 8)

If you had been there (and thankfully you weren't since most people here at BN have more sense than to invite someone like you when they have a party at their house) you'd know that was just a photo op. After the picture was taken, z-man took the beer away from me, walked out onto the lawn in the backyard and poured it out.

Lighter than Corona? Wouldn't that be... water?
