Landshark in Georgia
A friend of mine went to a local United Way party last night, Buffett themed (Scott Kirby was performing), and they had a tasting booth set up for Landshark.
The reps there said that Landshark will be in bars & restaurants this month and in store by mid March.

according Nicole at the Buffett concert last year I think, someone handed me one, I took one sip and handed it back, I am glad I don't really remember it but it must have been bad enough to only need one sip to know I didn't need another.LIPH wrote:I assume that's all you've done is seen it. When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

I'd have been surprised if it wasn't in Georgia since I've seen it in the supermarket up here in New Hampshire. I saw it on the shelf and for a second thought about it, saw it was marked $6.99, thought now way am I paying that for cheap beer that needs a lime to kill the flavor and odor why so expensive, and then remembered that people pay that much for Corona. Why not buy something domestic and cheap since you're just going to kill the flavor with lime anyway? But I digress, I think...

They used that quote in the first ads that came out last year. Biggest mistake they could have made, in my opinion. Isn't beer supposed to be "drinkable"? Although Landshark really isn't "beer" so I digress.diverg wrote:I got an email title Landshark spotted natiowwide, and here is the text of the email from margaritaville.com

Landshark arrived in extreme South Georgia just since around Christmas. A local Applebee's put up a neon sign and a local Mexican restuarant just started having it available.
To me, as others have said, it's similar to Corona, perhaps somewhat lighter. It's OK once in awhile; personally, I prefer a Killian's Red, an Amstel Light or a Heineken.

If you had been there (and thankfully you weren't since most people here at BN have more sense than to invite someone like you when they have a party at their house) you'd know that was just a photo op. After the picture was taken, z-man took the beer away from me, walked out onto the lawn in the backyard and poured it out.BottleofRum wrote:LIPH wrote:I assume that's all you've done is seen it.
