ColdWaterConch wrote:The demand for tickets is really a false demand. There is ALWAYS hundreds of tickets available weeks and days before the concert. People overbuy tickets hoping to sell at a premium, but that rarely happens, except for the front row seats.
Is that true??? How come I couldnt get tickets 15 minutes after they went on sale last year?? Or do they save some??
That happened here with the Ice Bowl, they sold out so fast, but they didnt limit the # of tickets that people could buy, so within 1 minute of it selling out they had them on ebay for at least 4 times the face value......
just doesnt seem fair. Even if I had the tickets, I would feel like it is bad karma to sell them at such a profit!

The 22nd works perfect for me--I'll be out of the office anyway for the All American Soap Box Derby week here in Akron! Tuesday and Wednesday that week I don't have any special responsibilties for the race, so I can play hookey and not use extra vacations days!!!

There were plenty of tickets available for face on this website up to the day of the concert. I know b/c I had difficulty getting rid of good pavillion seats at face. And I got 3d row seats from a broker at about a 15% premium 2 days before the concert. A few years ago those tickets would have sold for $1K a piece.

Using my crystal ball, I predict that a Pittsburgh date will be announced this week! On sale date will be St. Patrick's Day! Write it down. The all knowing one has spoken!
Hi Blackjack, Missy here...The Pgh Parrothead Club has been participating in the St Patty's Day Parade for years and we always have our cell phones buzzing while walking to try and get tix...pretty funny.
Hope news comes soon.

Really depends on when it is. If its a Saturday more then likely, anything else very doubtful.

Well at least we are on the rumor list for July 22nd at Post Gazette Pavilion. OK it is a Tuesday but at least he may be here and it is not a stadium show.

I thought they said earlier that it couldn't be July 30th @ PNC because there's a home Pirates game that night.
AND it's a wednesday. Every Buffett fan knows he only does Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Wednesday, that's just crazy talk.
Personally July 19th would be the best day. It's a saturday, and my birthday -- but maybe I'm a little bias on that. However, a saturday again this year would be wonderfully convenient!!
