CIP Closes in York PA

Post by phjim »

Another Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant has closed this week. The restaurant located in York, PA is the third one this week that has closed. The other ones were located in Asheville NC and Lansing MI.

The York Daily Record has more info on the closing: "Cheeseburger in Paradise closed"

The company that owned Cheeseburger in Paradise in West Manchester Township confirmed this morning that the Jimmy Buffett-inspired restaurant has closed its doors for good. According to a company statement, the location no longer fits the "strategic plans" for the brand.

Greenville, SC's CIP has closed as well

The Greenville, SC CIP on Haywood Road is also boarded up and officially closed for business. A call to the restaurant yielded the response that "the chain has no plans for expansion until they figure out what they want to do with the concept."

I posted on another CIP closing announcemet that i thought it was busy location, But I think it was out of the way to get to. I agree it was in the midst with other chains. I thought it should have been closer to Harrisburg or Hershey. We went every few months but we would have gone more if we didnt have to make the half hour 45 min commute from Hershey.

Today I was having lunch at the CiP at the Belden Village Mall in Canton, Ohio and my bartender Johnny Ford told me a total of five closed this past week! Sad....
On a much brighter note, had a few LandSharks today at the CiP as well....nice to have 'em in Ohio!!
