Bahamas in mid to late December

Post by Catch&Release »

Friends are getting married at the Sandals Grand Bahamas resort in late Dec

Will the weather be like Florida? Anything from 80's to mid 50's?

We found great airfare to Nassau and we only want to stay a couple nights at their resort. Will we have many options near Nassau over Christmas week? I'd like to go to a very quiet island and "go local" anywhere we can do that near Nassau?

Thanks!

Paul
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.

The weather at that time is just as you described it. Probably high of 80, and it can get chilly at night, probably about 60ish.
I will just miss you, will be there Dec 27-Jan3

As for another island near Nassau? Hmmm I dont know, I am sure someone on here knows. I heard Exuma is real nice and quiet, but I have no idea of it's relation to Nassau... I think Eleuthra is real close.

Thanks, Mike.

We'll be at the Sandals Grand Bahamian for our friend's wedding from 12/19/08 for 3 nights and then it looks like we're going to go to Long Island, Bahamas for 5 nights. We'll be a couple hundred miles southeast of Key West and I am hopeful that being out in teh middle of the Gulfstream will keep things a little warmer.

Looks like it should be wonderful, as long as a cold front doesn't follow us down.

Hope you also have a great trip.
