Ahhh Panama City. Spring Break circa 1997. MTV was there. Wet T shirt contests at Spinnaker and Club La Vela. Foam parties. Drunken debacuhery. The thing that sticks out is the drive thru liquor store with a bar inside. Good times, good times.

Located in Panama City Beach about a mile from the Summit (next door to the Spinaker) there is a giant maze that is incredible. It is part of a Mini-Golf course. They reset the maze every so often and there are 4 towers that you have to get a stamp from..... you can compete against others. VERY LARGE - Very cool. My son and I got tickets for the week and went almost everyday. Of course he is a nut about these things.

Hi all.
Coming to Destin on Vacation from April 22nd through April 29th.
Gonna take at least one day to come Panama City for a full day and evening to do Margaritaville and........wellllllllll.........aside from taking in the beach, was wondering if there were any off the wall ideas or unique places to check out.
Open to ideas for a truly unique bar or hippie store or restaurant or, hell, whatever.

Ummm..... Pier Park is now open. there are lots of places in there to see...eat...drink...whatever. Its the place that Margaritaville is in. People watching could be interesting

. There is Purple Haze, Shipwreck Island, and Alvins is still here (One that looks like a volcano and others) for shopping. As far as bars, you got from Sharkys to Newbys to choose from. There are ALOT of bars! We got Shell Island tours, a Pirate Ship cruise. Kinda hard to take it all in...in a day

Tell me about places to stay. I don't want to be in a dump. I want to stay on beach front road somewhere in the middle. Where should i not stay? Thats the big question.

Well, of course you have all the condos you want to chose from if thats what your looking for. Most of the small hotel/motels are gone. Some that are still here and are still a pretty good place to stay are..Chateau...Days Inn...Best Western....Fountain Blue(who has a Margaritaville room)....Continental Condos(small)....Beach Break.....Legacy, just to name a few. It just depends on how much you want to spend and its been a few years since I have stayed at any of them. Have a great time!!

That M'ville room sounds cool. I was looking at the DaysInn, the one with the waterfall pool. I also looked at the Flamingo. What do you know about those?

Days Inn is always busy, so I assume its a good place. Haven't heard of any problems. Holiday Inn Sunspree is in that area too. Flamingo is a small place and I don't know much about it sorry. Most of these places have their own security too.

What about the Comfort Inn? I talked to a girl that works there and she said they won #1 in the nation 2 yrs in a row....

Nah, I haven't seen it either. I met the owner when I was working one of our ParrotHead club activities and she was telling me about their M'ville room. I really have thought about stopping in and asking if I could see it

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, would be to take a pic if you went!

Say..........
For those of you who have been to the still relatively new PCB M'Ville, what is parking like there?
Do they charge for parking, etc.?
