Pinacolada, when are you heading to PCB? We are going 3 weeks today!!!
Can't wait. We haven't been to PCB in about 4 years. Much has changed as I've been told. The white sand is it wonderful isn't it.
Our teens want to leave about 3am. Of course their plan is to just stay up and then crash in the car. We have about a 14 hour drive. Sometimes less depending on traffic. It always makes for interesting traveling for us. No van this go around so their comfort will be compromised.

(I really don't feel sorry for them.)

Please look at the flags BEFORE you go into the water. They are looking for two swimmers that went in with red flags. Had water rescues all day today. Have fun but be safe!!

Rip Tides! People were ignoring the red flags and still going into the water. It was unfortunately a busy day here yesterday...

How is the sand shelf fairing from a couple weeks ago? I haven't talked to my friend lately but he sent some pictures that reminded me of Cancun after the beach replenishment gone bad.
We will be in PCB on the 6th for a week and can't wait. The weather here has sucked up to today and that was just for a couple hours. More rain tomorrow. The temps are below normal and just can't get where they should be.
Sad for those that take the risk with red flag and lose their life to the sea.

The beach is beautiful. The weather has been pretty nice lately(except for the water being rough). Its been mid to upper 80's. The water temp is 80. Its getting to that time of year that we hope for a stray shower in the afternoons. Hope you have a great trip...keep safe!

Hey we're family...Its Bobbi

I would love to meet ya'll or anyone that comes down.
I don't have a store. My business caters to tourism/hospitality. We are VERY busy now that spring/summer season is here. We are small, 6 full-time and 8 part-time employees. Alot of work though for me.

Pcbfan, I sent you a pm.
Btw do you know who is playing at Margartiaville? I don't know who is in charge of their website but they really don't have anything listed for PCB as far as events and smugglers hold items. I imagine the store has just about everything that all the other stores have.

I know that Gene Mitchell plays a couple days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday I think) at Margaritaville and then he plays at Calypso restaurant too. I don't know who plays the rest of the time, but I'll try to find out.

You may want to check out a new place at Pier Park....
Tootsie's Orchid Lounge....the only other one is in Nashville, and apparently it's where all the Country greats hang out....Last weekend Willie and Hank Jr were seen there.....I didn't even know it was opening there!
As reported on WJHG last night, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge will open in Pier Park in mid-May 2008. Grand opening celebrations will be Memorial Day weekend.
The orginal Tootsie's is in Nashville and features nightly country music entertainment. See their website: WORLD FAMOUS TOOTSIES ORCHID LOUNGE (turn speakers on for full effect)
Tootsie's history:
"Long ago, when country music superstars were performing at the Grand Ole Opry, this lounge became famous for featuring those stars when the "big show" was over. Fans still come here to see top-name performers and local artists alike, and the atmosphere hasn't changed a bit. The stage is small, but the sound is still huge and country music lovers still ring up enormous bar tabs, just like in the old days."
WJHG interviewed the owners of Tootsie's last night and they stated they sent invitations to every music artist they know to come perform at the new Tootsie's in Panama City Beach.
As their saying goes: "You never know who you'll see at Tootsie's!"
