Labor Day would be great, two shows would be even better, whenever they are but notice this, SATURDAY JUNE 7th is OPEN right now. Could be something to keep in mind.
Atlanta and Bristow aren't extremely far apart...

Jimmy has played at Nissan every year since it opened. I just don't see him skipping it this year. I would love to see him come on June 7th or June 28th!

Yep, I agree. There is just no way he skips this area this year. It is a regular stop, and heck, it is near the Nations Capital...
Perhaps his team is just working out final details with Nissan. After all, it isn't as simple as JB calling Nissan and finding out what dates are open then picking one. Alot of planning and contractual stuff as well.
All that said, JIMMY, RELEASE THE NISSAN DATE NOW!!!! WE NEED TO KNOW.

No Nissan show on the 28th, unless Jimmy is co-headlining with Dave Matthews Band (which would be pretty damn sweet in itself, but isn't gonna happen, haha)...
Dave Matthews Band
with Michael Franti and Spearhead
Sat / Jun 28 / Nissan Pavilion at Stoneridge / Bristow, VA

I think I figured this out. The show is gonna be a once in a lifetime show on July 4th, yes Independence Day. It is taking so long b/c he is working out the details to have a fireworks display after the show to be aired live on TV. Perhaps with special guests.....

If that were the case, the Park Service should just pay him a bunch of money(like they used to do the Beach Boys) and have him play on the Mall! Wouldn't that be a cool show?
You could be right. Or maybe if it IS Labor Day weekend, the fact they are lining up two shows (like one of the various rumors above), it is taking him longer to do that....

not to be greedy, but even though Labor Day weekend would be cool, I don't want to wait that long.
Besides JB at Nissan at the start or middle of summer, is the best. It gets summer started of right. I don't care if it was over 100 degrees two years ago either. Just made the suds go down smoother.
Anyway, it's a wait and see game now.

or if you look at it the other way, it's something to look forward to, to celebrate the end of summer!

That's how I feel. If I had a choice I'd rather he play at the end of the summer, because to me, if he plays at the beginning, what else is there to look forward to

? Kind of like unwrapping your Christmas presents the night before!

I didn't want to wait until the end of summer either......so we're going to Alpine and we'll add in Carolina and Nissan when they show up on the schedule....
We planning on Jim Morris in May, JJW in July and the Louisiana Swamp Romp at Wolftrap in June......JB will show up eventually.... and this gives us other opportunities to party

Jimmy Buffett at the end of the summer would be ideal. there is always so much going on. I'm already going to see Tom Petty in June at Nissan and then the All Good Festival in July. This is just the beginning of my concert season.

Ok Mincopool, you and flowergirl have popped up a couple times with some rather vague info. Can we get something more to chew on than just a nibble here & there?

I wish I could but if I was to go any further I would lose my source.

Thanks for the info. Can you at least tell us this: Will the date(s) be announced within the next week?

Well, don't go and do that. Just tell your source that there are a lot of nervous Parrotheads anxiously waiting on what your source has to say

All that "source" crap sounds like a bunch of garbage to me..
BTW. I think I have a problem. I keep logging in every 15 minutues to check the "Tour Dates" section for any news, yet nothing.
Help, I am addicted.
