Same here, along with Living and Dying. Bought them at Sears in KW in '73. I was down there in December and Sears is still there.

The first one i stole was One Particular Harbour. I stole it from my parents on my first trip to see the ocean. The next one I stole was Don't Stop the Carnival as a gift for my dad. (I kepted it instead).

I was talking to my sister today, and she told me that in 1997 she bought a JB greatest hits CD. I asked her what the title was. She could not remember the title, but she said that the cover was yellow. I think it makes sense that a lot of people who are not familiar with JB's music would start out with the yellow album.

I'm really glad I started this thread, because I'm almost done buying the studio albums. When I am finished with the studio albums I will start buying up the live albums. From reading many of the posts it sounds like You Had To Be Their and Feeding Frenzy would be a good place to start as far as live albums are concerned.

Told it before.....

I was working a summer job in a factory after my freshman year in college because Dad thought (and he was right) that it would teach me a lesson after my 1.2 GPA that first year.

One day I came to work and all my co-workers had been deported (back when they did those things) So I ran the little BBQ grill assembly line by myself. First work station set up about ten, move the belt to the second and stop it, do the next step and so on. Since the line was shut down most of the time and I was all by myself, I would have WLUP-Chicago cranking.

I knew of Jimmy, like a lot of stuff, but never purchased, prior to the summer day when Son of A Son Of A Sailor came out. One day as they often did, WLUP devoted the noon hour to new releases. The first time I heard the title song, I was hooked. They played most of the rest that day as well and I loved everything I heard (except for Fool Button)

Needless to say that night I bought it. The next Friday (payday) I bought the complete works to date. I have never looked back
