You aren't old when your hair turns grey,
You aren't old when it falls away,
But if your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill,
Then you know that you're over the hill

I like it too, but honestly if I wouldn't have bought the BBBB box set, I don't know if I'd be a Buffett fan.... The song I just fell in love with was OPHIrishPirate wrote:SchoolGirlHeart wrote:For all the crap SYKBH gets, an awful lot of us started out with it....
Truth be told. . . . . . .I still like the "Yellow" album![]()

Well, I am so glad that we have the BN albums and songs data base. It makes it so much easier for me to pick and choose my JB albums. The next bunch of JB albums I am probably going to get are Son of a Sailor, Living and Dying in 3/4 Time (God's Own Drunk is a perfect reason to get that album,) and BBB!

Here we are, maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do
It's the child in us we really value
Here we are, with our fins up and our feathers flashing
Here we are, with our coconut shell brassieres chanting

My first one was the yellow one. Truth is, I bought it without knowing who Jimmy Buffett was.

I was joining one of those old record clubs where you get "8 for 1 cent" and I had already picked 7. I saw the title "Songs You Know By Heart" and thought "hmmm... I'd probably know a couple of 'em."
Got the CD, played it once... didn't recognize a single song! So I threw it in the closet and forgot about it for several years.
Over the years, I figured out Jimmy sang "Margaritaville," so when we went to the beach on vacation, I dug it out of the closet and threw it in the suitcase.
While there, my little boy started running a fever, so we took turns staying at the room with him while everybody else went to the beach. During my turn, I put the yellow album in and finally... LISTENED.
Oh My, Oh My, Oh My.... loved every song, loved the lyrics, loved the instrumentation. Played it over and over and over, rocked the little guy, and just watched the waves out my window.
Been here ever since.
(And the little guy is fine - and several years older now!)
