If thats the case they should be telling the police whats up. To request protection, but not tell the police why is not logical.

So what would you do if you were the police department? Someones requesting protection, but will not tell you why? Are you going to say sure I'll have cops protecting you 24/7?

So one of two things must be happening in your scenario then. The cops are using the papers to get the bad guys by saying that aren't goinn to be watching the apartment when in reality they will. 2. They've heard the story and don't believe it or they beilieve its not worthy of their protection?

It's got to be drug related and no doubt there is a lot of cash involved. Whoever the boyfriend owes the money to has threatened to do really bad things to his family and friends if he opens his mouth... Then again, maybe not... :P

Then again you could be totally wrong. It could be some other vice involved. We probably shouldn't speculate. It'll come out soon enough.

Don't go speculating on anything. This is a seriously HUGE DEAL. I will post when I have some info I can put up for you. Amy is home safe, thank god. But it's complicated and when the TRUTH is out, I will update. In the meantime, please do not assume it was drugs, for Amy is a good girl and as far as we and family knew, she was not a user. Not saying that it didn't change, but for the family's sake, don't speculate. Laura and Skip have been through enough. It's still not over. Just wish us luck and pray that this ends without too much turmoil that her parents never asked for.

Thanks again for everyone's help, from the family a heartfelt thank you !
