Here is a link to a video of Kermit on a recent trip to Orlando. No, the music is not Jimmy, but I thought it was appropriate based on the content.

22 more days! Woo hoo! Our flight arrives a little after 9 a.m., we'll hit up Publix for the necessities, and then right to M'Ville. I like to enjoy an ale or a marg at the Lone Palm Airport, and then some nachos & cheeseburgers on the Porch of Indecision! Also looking forward to the German Biergarten for lots of German food, beer, dancing, and music!

YAY! Just found out I'll be in WDW from April 10-17th staying at the Swan/Dolphin! Best part? I'll be kid-less! Talk about a first! I'm excited...but it'll be weird wandering around all by myself (for the most part)...hubby will be there, too, but working/conference.
I'm nutty about two things in life...JB and WDW! Go every year, at least once. Was there in January, only for a day to Magic Kingdom & have a trip planned for June for 10 days- the whole fam that time.
As Christine would say....WOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

We stayed at the Swan one night last year and they have a great pool area, and an outdoor bar/cafe. You can walk right to Epcot, the Boardwalk, and the Hollywood Studios. ContinentalDrifterIII ate the craziest, biggest burger with the most obscene slabs of bacon on it that I've ever seen at one of the restaurants at the Swan!

The SwanDolphin is in a great area, just walk in the back entrance to Epcot, make a left and you are at the UK beer stand. Then, when you leave Epcot just make a left at the bridge and stop by ESPN Club or Jellyrolls for a cocktail on ther way back to your room. Have fun.

UpstateNYPH wrote:bbqmonster wrote:Just curious what you thought about Mission Space? Did you go on the "Spinning" one?
I went on the spinning one, and at first I liked it, but then I started to feel a little sick about an hour after the ride. That is the only ride I have ever been on that had a "Barf Bag" right in front of your seat.
BBQMonster
The barf bag freaked my girlfriend out, LOL. Yes, I did orange, which was the more intense one. I couldnt believe it when there were 7 year old kids in line with us, I am surprised they can handle it. Did I like mission space? Yes, because they simulate being in a space shuttle amazingly. Would I do it again? Probably not. It was very intense. Fun, but intense. I dont think I like feeling all that pressure in my head. I love crazy rides, rollercoasters, whatever, but I did feel a bit nauseous during that ride. I guess it was just a little too real for me. I can see how that kid could have died when it first opened. Between the anxiety and the G-forces, it is A LOT to handle.
I have to agree with you about that being intense, you really get the feeling of weightlessness shortly after you blast through the atmosphere into space. It was fun but I'm not dieing to get back on it anytime soon.

Nice! I can't wait until my idea bag is full. You are not the first to pass this way, nor shall you be the last! And I have to correct a previous post, we stayed at the Dolphin last time, not the Swan. 21 more days!

We always have such a blast in Disney...and the youngest one of us is 32. People always ask me if we're going because we have kids. Nope! There's so much to do & it's so much fun. 20 more days until we go! My first drink will be a Miller Chill as I lay in the warm sun at Old Key West!

Yeah, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Here's an interesting tidbit about Pirates of the Caribbean...check out the original version of what the pirate sitting next to the barrel used to say...not very Disney! Here it is:
In the 1990s some of the pirate audio tracks were changed. What was known as the "Pooped Pirate" had his lines re-done. The audio used to be:
Oh, shiver me soul. It's dead wore out, I be. (Chuckles) Am I too fast these lot footed wenches be for the likes of an old swag-bellied pirate such as I? Now, where be that fascinatin' little old treasure? Ay? (Chuckles) Heave to, maties! Say, have you set your eyes on a bewitchin' maiden in your travels?
Oh, she be a lively lassie she were! Oh, I tell you true, it's sore I be to hoist me colors on the likes of that shy little wench. (Laughs) Favor, keep a weather eye open maties. I be willing to share, I be! (Laughs).

I dont like it now with Johnny Depp. I think it was a weird addition. I understand why, but call me old fashioned, I like Pirates the way I remember it when I was a kid...

I enjoy the comment on how he would like to hoist his colors on that shy little wench. That is not very Disney

If you could only ride 3 rides at Disney what would they be? It does not have to be Magic Kingdom, it can be any park in Disney. What would yours be? Go!

I like the old school! Here are mine!
1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
2. Wedway People Mover (although it's called something else now)
3. Haunted Mansion (final arrangements may be made at the end of the tour....
