For tropical drinks, go to the Barefoot Pool Bar at the Polynesian. Sip your drink and look out over the Seven Seas Lagoon and watch the monorails go by

Another great bar: the Dawa Bar in the Animal Kingdom (in the African village area). They make a GREAT margarita and have some African beers!

The BEST margaritas are at the Dawa Bar in the Animal Kingdom!!!! The Tusker beer from Africa is good too.

Heading to Mickeyworld next weekend. My 19 year nephew has NEVER been - he never wanted to and now he does so we're gonna do it up right for him complete with Mickey ears and an autograph book

I haven't been in about 15 to 20 years so looking forward to it. Of course I will be dragging everyone to M'ville on Saturday night or maybe Sunday afternoon

Don't remember exactly how long ago Soarin' was built at Epcot. Highly recommend if you haven't been on. A fast pass is best, but worth the wait even if the line is long.

Yes, Soarin' is awesome. Definitely get a fast pass though, as the wait is looooong. For a drink, I'd also hit up the Gurgling Suitcase at the Old Key West resort. They usually play some Buffett tunes there!

Yeah Soarin was up last time we were there. Ma and the kids went on it. I passed(stomach doesn't care for the simulator thing), and took our youngest on the eco-ride where they make pumpkins with Mickey ears on them.

We are heading back 11/13-21 for the parks and the cruise. I've been to Disney countless times but this will be my first experience on their cruise line, has anyone been?

Don't let the "simulator ride" perception keep you off of this one. I have the same issue, but have no problem with Soarin'. It's like watching a movie while sitting on a chair lift. It's really spectacular.

Got back from a 9 day trip last week.
As usual, it was great
HOWEVER
you could tell they had cut back personnel.
It seemed like there were ride/attractions that were down alot.
We got in line a few times only to get to the front and be told the ride was down for maintainance.
Fast Passes don't do you any good if the ride isn't working...they did take the passes later, but you have to know when it is working....
But, hey it is Disney!!!!
btw---anyone ever have trouble with yellow flies????
They are nasty, vicious creatures.

Can I just say I love Disney!!!!! Even worked at Disneyland as a teenager and have my guest room decorated with all of my "Cast member" and Disney University things. Anyway, yes we have been on the cruise. It was about 3 years ago and we did the 7 night. It was wonderful!!!! Highly recommend it and very jealous of you going!

The absolute best thing I saw while we were gone?
We ate at Rainforest Cafe and had a family of 4 sitting close to us. (Mom, Dad, 2 younger children)
Mom and Dad ordered lunch and a bottle of wine.
They both had a glass and had alot left in the bottle.
As I was watching, Dad pulled a sippy type cup out of a bag.

rinsed it out with his glass of water, and
FILLED IT UP WITH THE REST OF THE BOTTLE OF WINE!
He noticed that I was watching him and he first blamed it on his wife, then his kids....
We were laughing soooo hard.
I can imagine them going back to Animal Kingdom, Mom and/or Dad pulling the cup out of the stroller and taking a sip or 3

and since this cup was opaque, no one could tell it was wine and not water

I imagine he was really going to the Magic Kingdom

(that would be an interesting concept....

Just got back from a 7 night trip. The highlight was the return of the Main St. Electrical Parade at the Magic Kingdom! It's only back through the middle of August, but it really brought back some great memories from several years ago. And man, did it draw a crowd.

I had an interesting call yesterday.
While we were at Disneyworld, they ask if they sent a survey to my email, would I respond?
SURE!
So, when I got the survey, I answered all their questions and there was a space for other info.
I told them about the yellow flies and being attacked by them at the resort.
Yesterday a sweet lady called and wanted to know all about the yellow flies and my discomfort level.
She had been in contact with an entomologist
I told her honestly that they were itchy, but I was OK.
She was so sorry I had that my discomfort and is sending us
A CHECK!!!!
for my itching!!!!
I never expected anything, I just wanted them to know about the biting devils!
But I will take her check and do something fun with it
