Just figured I'd bring this thread up since CDIII and I are heading back to Disney on Tuesday, and staying through New Year's Eve. Can't wait!! First stop right from the airport: Harry Potter at Universal and lunch and cold, salty beverages at Margaritaville Orlando. Staying at the Yacht Club for the first time. WOO HOO!!! :D

Not really. I was just there that week and we had a great time. With the exception of New Years Eve the parks were not over crowded and we had no problem getting on rides or around the parks. I guess the Happiest Place on Earth still cant cheer up some people

Figured I'd bring this post up yet again, since I'm heading back down to Disney on Monday...it will be in the low 80s and sunny all week. 8) I am ready to soak up the sun and will be enjoying a frosty margarita on Nat'l Margarita Day on Tuesday poolside.
:D Sorry, CDIII--wish you were coming with me!!

If you go to Epcot Center, whatever you do, do not leave the park without riding the ride, "Soarin." It is one of the most amazing rides I've ever been on and is truly the Disney magic at its best. It is a very popular ride. When I got there, we got a Fast Pass for it within an hour of arriving, and the Fast Pass told us to return later that afternoon. When we got off, they had quit giving out Fast Passes for the day, and the standby line was just a little under two hours. We liked it so much that we decided to bite the bullet and stand in the standby line to ride again. It is that good.

And, there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. My mother, who is very scared of thrill rides, thought it was one of the coolest things she had ever seen. It makes you feel like you are flying, and the scenery is absolutley beautiful. Do not leave without riding it. Trust me: You will not be disappointed.

Let me repeat this one more time: If you go to Epcot Center, do not leave the park without riding Soarin.

Going to Disney for a week, starting next weekend.

Wouldn't you know it, the unconfirmed rumor for the Great Woods concerts is for tickets to go on sale Saturday, 3/12. I'LL BE ON A FRIGGIN PLANE. :x :x :x (Alright, I'll stop shouting).

However life could be worse. Can usually score good tickets closer to the concert date anyway. :D

We just got back from a 10 day trip to Orlando. We spent most of our days at Disney, but of course did go to Universal a few days. We had to have our time at Margaritaville and Islands of Adventure. 8)

We kept a list and recently, we have been either in queue or on the ride when 9 rides went down.
NINE
That's alot of broken rides. :-?
We started joking about how many rides we 'broke'....a ride would be fine, we would get in queue and bingo, announcements would be made about technical difficulties. We saw more rides with inside lights on while the difficulties were being fixed (Space Mountain and Harry Potter), attractions being stopped for no apparent reason (Stitch, but given Fast Passes to any ride in the park), heck, we even were on the Monorail when it got stuck between stations.
It was just a weird trip, a great trip and we had lots of fun, just strange....

Your comment about Space Mountain with the lights on brought back a nice memory. :D

Last time there, I had trouble convincing our 6 year old to go on. That is, until we took the People Mover and passed through Space Mountain being fixed, with the lights on. He said, this doesn't look so bad. We went on and he's loved it ever since.

Just don't plan on getting a Root Beer Float on Tom Sawyer Island as they closed down the Ice Cream Stand over there. Found out the hard way back in May. At least you can still get Mojitos at Bongos. :D
