It is true that the owner is less than cordial to customers. He has always been that way and I don't think he means it personally. However, the Goff's #12 is the most decadently fabulous hamburger in the world -- very much worth not worrying about the owner's personality problems! I grew up in University Park, Dallas, eating Goff's hamburgers and just today I went by for the first time in probably 15 years and had a # 12. They are still the same! If you have never had one, you really owe it to yourself to experience the finest! [Kay Swenson, 01/04/2004]

More on Goff's Hamburgers
Dallas, Texas - Lenin Statue
Right in the middle of Dallas suburbs, you'll find a very curious sight. In the middle of strip mall haven, in front of a small, unassuming burger shop, stands an actual surviving statue of Lenin. At the base of the statue there's a little plaque, engraved with the words "America Won".
This USED to be true. I grew up in University Park and ate at Goff's regularly.
But...the crotchety owner SOLD the the place a few years ago. I don't think the Lenin statue went with it, but I'm not sure. (It was something to see. )

Arguably, the best Burger in Dallas can be found down the street at Burger House (my favorite ;))

We have to have different stops this time though... Beer can house, swim in the Texas pool, Dixie Chicken (of course), the PHarm hint hint, and then 4-5 stops I just mapped out. People would still have to be here Wednesday and plan something here.

I am all about that but PHarm girl will read this thread. If they know we might just pop in they will lock the doors on us. This way if they think we are asking they will not be on guard when we just show up at 11 PM.

I need me some Pookie time

I'm with Janice on this one. I've got to take my kids to class on Thursday morning. So I'd be leaving Denver after that, arriving Houston about 4:30 that afternoon.

I may need to look at that again. Since I can't buy my plane tickets 'til Friday, I've got time to adjust.

the PHARM is a must!!
