Looks like Parrotheads are beginning to invade the area!
During my lunch hour today, I spotted a large fin attached to the top of a blazer driving through downtown Lake Geneva. "Alpine or Bust" written on the back windshield. It was a lovely sight to behold. God, am I psyched for this weekend!![]()

Hey JollyMon - bring a lawn blanket to stake out your spot, but no chairs. its on a big old grassy hill. (the ones with a tarp on one side, flannel on the other are really nice!)NDJollyMon wrote:Ok Alpine Regulars....
What's the deal with the LAWN SECTION?
Does everyone stand, bring chairs, sit on the ground???? What to expect?
Is it one big standing party?
Unless you enjoy mud baths... PRAY IT DOESN'T RAIN!!!FunkyBunny wrote:Hey JollyMon - bring a lawn blanket to stake out your spot, but no chairs. its on a big old grassy hill. (the ones with a tarp on one side, flannel on the other are really nice!)NDJollyMon wrote:Ok Alpine Regulars....

Expect the blanket to get trampled upon.
I have heard people say not to wear flip flops, becuase the thong between your toes gets sore. I figure, I'll be feeling NO PAIN by that point.
Mostly its one big standing party. No beverages or food or cameras in the concert, so leave that at your car.

What I've typically seen is people laying and sitting on blankets until showtime, then most standing / dancing for the entire concert. And you seem to end up shoulder to shoulder, front to back touching people. (which is why I'll be in a seat or the parking lot!)NDJollyMon wrote:Ok Alpine Regulars....

Dance...... There is really no room for chairs or blankets. I see people with blankets though and allot of times you end up farther down the hill than your blanket as the crowd moves unless you are on the far sides.. hill is steep for chairs...NDJollyMon wrote:Ok Alpine Regulars....

They should be scattered though.

I had reserved seats once for Buffett.. Honestly I prefer the grass that is where the party is. I feel to restricted in the seats. If I want to dance with a few girls you can not.Finnsaremorefun wrote:Showers as evening begins though..could make for one helluva lawn.
