With all the support BN'ers give Buffett, wouldn't it be a great way for his organization to say thanks if at least one of his concerts had a pre-sale announced only on BuffettNews with a pre-sale password before the tickets are open to the general public.
That way, his true, die-hard fans would get an opportunity to get decent tickets first.
Just a thought. For Dylan concerts, bobdylan.com offers pre-sale passwords for many venues and will often send you email alerts if you have signed up with the site.
This is one way of reaching loyal fans.

Exactly. As much as I love buffettnews, I know he's got a vested interest in Margaritaville, and if a presale sort of thing was going to happen, it would be through that.

I think it's a great idea. I dont think it's really about the money anymore for JB and the CRB..it's about the fans.

I think some people underestimate the power of brokers and scalpers. This is these people's business. No pre-sale for fans is going to change that. They will have the password and/or the guaranteed seats through the ticket agency/margaritaville way before we even get a chance.
Not trying to sound pessimistic, but thats reality.
If a presale were to ever happen it should not happen on BN. It should happen at Margaritaville.com as it is Jimmy's official site. Yes, we have a ton of loyal fans here on BN, but there is a multitude of folks out there who are diheard fans, but yet, they may not choose to access the public Internet forums.
Also, if BN were to get a presale I would have deep sympathy for the moderators of this site. If the presale wouldn't work out the way a few BNers might want it to you can bet the moderators would be receiving undeserved blame and anger.
