Not completely, I agree. Not until he can't play a show any more due to age or medical reasons....
Cut back? Sure. Walk away all together? Nah.... they'll always be a Baz Bar or a Dukes on Sunday to play, impromptu....

I recall how Jimmy talked about Johnny Carson and how HE retired and that was IT! And then, that seemed cool to Jimmy.
But the way Jimmy has been talking lately, as long as he can get up on stage, he's not gonna retire. He likes it too much! Scale back more? Probably, but quit completely? It ain't happening soon!
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

Seemed like he had plenty of time though.

When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

There was no mention of that casino having an amphitheater or any type of entertainment venue, unless I missed it.bocanuts wrote:I imagine at Jimmy's age the idea of a country wide tour can't that appealing like it once was. I'd bet he pulls a Celine Dion once the casino in Mississippi opens.
Even so, Jimmy would never be tied down to one place for so long, he's a wanderer, he'd go nuts staying in one place like that.

Fine, winters in Biloxi, summers out on the East End of Long Island and Nantucket playing the Chicken Box and Stephen's Talkhouse. Maybe the occassional Key West and Hawaii trip.SharkOnLand wrote:There was no mention of that casino having an amphitheater or any type of entertainment venue, unless I missed it.bocanuts wrote:I imagine at Jimmy's age the idea of a country wide tour can't that appealing like it once was. Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
