Next couple weeks is what I have heard. Early to mid-March. I dont know if there is a nailed down date.

I am sure someone in the area will say something soon.

Panama City Margaritaville Update

Post by catsway »

I am driving over to Pier Park today and see if I can get some info from the Project Manager on the exact opening date. Last time we spoke (two weeks ago), it is supposed to open March 5th. But we've had alot of rain and bad weather the past week so this could slow things a bit. If I speak with him today, I'll update this afternoon.

Back from Margaritaville

Post by catsway »

Okay, I made the trip over and back. I parked behind the new Ron Jons's located at Pier Park. I walked through the shop and it smells so new with all the wood they used on the floors. Almost bought a t-shirt, but I'll wait till next week when M'ville opens. I walked on up the sidewalk to the deck in front. They have made a lot of progress since last week. The deck looks pretty finished. They were acid washing the concrete floor inside so I wasn't able to go in. They have placed yellow caution tape all the way around the front. Everyone looked very busy putting bar and kitchen equipment inside. The cabinet makers were doing a lot of sawing outside. The landscappers were putting plants in the ground.I wasn't able to speak to anyone this time so I am going by the info that I got last week, March 5th is the opening. I believe they have made enough progress with the building, but I wonder when the employees will arrive for training and stocking. We'll find out soon....
