If you have uttered the words "I want to go where it's warm"...or..."I wanna go where there aint any snow", your application for top level employeement is already in 8)

Today we are filling the position for "keep an eye on the palm tree outside the tiki bar".
I have personally applied for that position, but I know there are others much more qualified than me.
If that position is filled, I'll take the paycut to be the guy who keeps and eye on the waves! :D

Nearly all of you could probably 'sell' your skills and educations to one or another of the islands, but you gotta have the courage to sell the house, store the stuff, get rid of the cars. find homes for the pets, tell the kids, and just go. We took the 'leap of faith' almost 6 years ago now, had 2 years in Barbados, 3 years in SoCal (which gave us time to see and know Hawai'i and Alaska, and well as many parts of Calif. -- a 'whole other country', too numerous to mention) and are back here down-island for a year or two now. Who knows where we will go next? Once you do it, you will never regret it, but you have to jump? Can you? Challenge you to it!!

I would love to be able to think that I could actually have the courage to do all that you say. You bring up a very good point that I hadn't even considered. If I ever do become serious about a little dream business venture it wouldn't be for at least another 4 years... Great point you've made, thank you!

Dream the Dream, See the Dream, Plan the Dream - Then DO IT!

We did it 3 years ago. Gave up our office jobs, moved to St. Thomas and bought a dive shop. No regrets either.

btw - I know of your "tiki-hut" for sale here.

My Tiki Hut is for sale there??? Someday I'll get the courage to walk away from where I am, but right now it's where I need to be. There will be plenty of time to live my dream soon enough... Glad you did it and its working for you! You're an inspiration!
