Anybody have an info on the New York rumor that's on the Tour Dates page? I know that the last 2 years Jimmy has done MSG in September so I'm not sure if the June rumor would be there or at another venue. My dream would be Yankees Stadium, but I don't know how likely that is.

I wouldn't doubt he would do both a show at Yankee Stadium AND Shea Stadium considering both stadiums are scheduled to be torn down after this year. Will he do it and when? I don't know.

fingers crossed at Jones Beach.
Both Yankee and Shea Stadiums would be shitholes to see a concert IMHO. First of all tailgating- where? Yankee Stadium is in the middle of the Bronx, no traditional parking lot (unless you count overpriced garages). At Shea, they're building the new stadium in the parking lot beyond centerfield, meaning there's about 1/3 of the normal parking available (not that there's a lot anyway.

Totally in agreement here. Either one would be a nightmare, especially Shea. At Shea, there is nearly NO parking, the NYPD is incredibly strict (makes Jones Beach look like a free-for-all) and they don't even put port-a-potties (except for one) in the lot. Yankee Stadium?? You'd be in a parking garage....ugh. I'd rather go back to MSG than one of those stadiums!!

Count my vote for The Garden, we had a great time @ Stout's last year.

Jones Beach! Please!!!!! It's a great venue with the breeze and the salt air coming in from the ocean. Fabulous on cloudless nights, still great in a rainstorm (been there -- Jethro Tull concert a few years back.. in the rain)
As much as I am a Mets fan, Shea stadium is a dump.

Just checked the website for Jones Beach and it looks like they have concert booked on 6/14 6/21 6/27. Maybe we can get a thursday show. Anything is better then shea and yankee stadium's that would be a tailgaiting nightmare.

Good point about tailgating. There are a few good lots for tailgating at Yankee Stadium down by the River, but now with the construction of the new stadium I don't even know if they are still open. But I would also think that trying to get to Jones Beach on a Saturday would be a disaster given that I'd be coming from NJ.

Not sure how far down in Jersey you are, but traffic to Jones is not traffic to the Hamptons...not bad at all. Getting out of Jersey might be tough but once you're on LI, it's a piece of cake.

Looks like there's a concert at JB on Friday the 27th but not Sat the 28th. Is that accurate??

Good to know, thanks! I'm in Northern NJ so that shouldn't be bad at all then. Let's go Jones Beach!

I think or hope he enjoys playing the Beach so my fingers and fins are crossed for a return this year. I thought some more dates would have been announced by now. Shea or Yankee stadiums although cool places to see a concert would be terrible for a JB show. As stated no tailgating and if it falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, they would both be nightmares to get to and park!!!.

I've been to concerts at Shea, the sound sucked. I've never been to a concert at Yankee Stadium (have they ever had any?) but I doubt if the sound would be any better. And the neighborhood is the armpit, or maybe a little lower and to the rear, of NYC.

I saw a U2 Concert at Yankee Stadium back in the 80's and Billy Joel and Elton John at Shea. The sound at Yankee Stadium is much better then Shea, I have to agree Shea sucked. I say forget them both and bring it back to Jones Beach where the concert belongs. Where did this rumor start about him playing a big NY Stadium anyway? If this were the case I would see it being Yankee as it is a historic stadium that won't be in use for much longer.
