Any ideas of where to stay overnight that may still have some rooms available? Is the VIP parking worth the purchase?
Any help you can lend is appreciated........... Can't wait, Indy here we come.

imo...the tailgate in indy is very tame unless you stay at sleepybear campground

i stay there and have a blast. the party starts around 10 am and continues well into the night

the campground is located right across the street from the venue, great location

What is the parking lot like at the venue? Grass or blacktop? Would it be worth the 20 bucks to park in the premier parking? Our thought is since we won the tickets we could spring for the parking.

Granted the tailgate is lame at Indy compared to other venues but its also an extra 25$ per person to tailgate at Sleepybear. I use to tailgate at Sleepybear but when I went there in 06 they were charging 25$ per person plus 20$ for the car. I said no thanks. I'll park at the venue and tailgate for free.

I can't answer you question about VIP parking as I have never purchased it.

However a good place to stay I think is Staybridge Suites in Fishers. Its 7 miles from the venue and right next door to Cheeseburger in Paradise. Not sure on the cost of rooms or availability though.

And remember Indy does not compare to Alpine when it comes to tailgating.

Forgot to answer this in my previous reply.

The lot is grass.

Since we are going to Alpine on the BIG BUS of fruitcakes I think we are just going to make the long drive home. These are tickets we won "awesome" and it will be a more a quiet subdued tailgate for us since it will be just the two of us.
Fun non the less.
Looking forward to it. :D

Yup, we are getting closer. I actually sent some of the emails out this morning to get everybody coordinated from our group. We plan on hitting the lot around noon this year. I think I will try to make up a BN sign to put on the tiki bar.

We won't be there at noon. More like 4. Work. :(

Never stayed overnight. Sigh. Drive home.

Premier parking? Might try that this year. Never done it before.

Thanks for all the info. Richard that would be great to make a banner so all of us BN'ers can recognize each other. We may be doing that for Alpine with our group too. If we find your group we will stop by and say HI.
We won't get there till about 4 or so either due to the time zone (or I am thinking we will be eastern time.) At least we will gain the hour back on the drive home.
Not sure about the premier parking either. The blacktop could be some hot stuff to sit by. We will have to see about that one. Hopefully the rains will stay away. Our Nissan sits pretty low if there are alot of ruts.
