Heard a spot on the radio this morning about a Bar called The Budd in Harrison that is having a Buffett party tomorrow night for those of you in the Mid Michigan area. Never been there, but might be worth checking out. I'll be snowmobiling in St. Ignace so can't go.

They said they are serving Land Shark.

Just giving my new login a test drive. As for the landshark , yer not missing much. Since you are from MI, you should stick to those great Canadian brews like Molson and Labatts. :pirate: :wench:

We've had Landshark out here in W Michigan since last June.

There is a sweeeeeet Landshark surfboard at a local bar which, if I was still in college, would be hanging in my house right now. :pirate:

However, lawyers can actually get disbarred for stuff like that. Go figure.

Landshark, in my opinion, is great summer beer. In the winter, why would anyone drink anything less flavorful than a porter or stout? At least up here in Michigan where we've had a foot of snow on the ground for 2 months.

When Landshark first showed up here most of the bars had the steel buckets with the logos......with the bartenders permission that night...one went out the back door that night.

Now the beer itself....oy....it's drinkable if there isn't water available....but it's nothing I'd miss.

Well since Anheisuer-Busch is actuaqlly brewing it, it was not going to be too far out of the mainstream. Although it is very similar to Corona the waitresses I know have been told to serve it without limes.

An "oy" originating from Raleigh, NC is definatly noteworthy!
Now that Landshark is available here in Detroit,
I drank it only as a Bud Light alternative last week in Florida.

I wonder what the next "To die for" brew will be?

I've been drinking it here in VT for a few months....the Rite Aid up the street has been selling it for $8.99 a 12pack, so it half the price of the micros I normally drink. It makes a great "lawn mower" beer (quantity over quality) even if the snow isn't all gone here yet.

That's what the 6-packs were going for a year ago!
Cheapest 12 I saw in Fl was $12.99.

If it was $8.99 a 6pk, I wouldn't buy it....but for a 12pk.....sure, why not.
