. . . the updated forcast show the eye over mansfied/ foxboro at near 4:00am Sunday, and not 2:00am. This may mean that the rains arrive later - say midnight or so.

Rain is fun when it's 80 degrees or warmer outside. Let's hope it's warmer than they are predicting.

Rain arrives WELL before the eye.
All weather sources are saying rain in the afternoon.

Re: issue of drinking in the lots...

At Bob Weir/Allman Brothers, everything seemed pretty cool...We got there a couple hours before the show and had some beers in the parking lot...The key is to have colored (not clear) plastic cups...There was a strong law enforcement presence, but I didn't see them harassing anyone that was behaving themselves and using cups...I thinks it's the bottles and the blatant public display of drinking they don't like...Have fun!!!

We should be fine.

Does anyone know of any pre-concert get togethers/parties in the downtown Boston area Friday night? I apologize if it has already been covered in this thread but since it is now over 56 pages long I figured it would take a few hours to flip through them all

I sent an email to my boss last night on my way out the door last night asking for a vacation day this Friday and he sent me a Blackberry later that eveing asking "when do you work?" Don't avoid him, you'll convince him he is right. Do update your resume and find a new job. If a boss asks that question he is either right or is an ass either way it's better to find a new job.

Seriously though. Sounds like it may be time for you to move on. If your boss is wondering if you are working, than it sounds like he is not keeping you busy enough, which may be another concern all together.

Makes me like my job even more, my boss told me I had to take 3 weeks vacation this summer because I had accured 7.5 weeks.

Actually, I think it stems more from the fact that I just got back from being off for 10 days and now I'm asking for another day go travel up to Mass. to see JB! My boss is actaually a very, very good guy but some people, including my boss, just don't get it. The JB phenom that is.

Oh well - life's too short. I'm just going to breathe in, breathe out, and get my ass up to Boston well in time for one of the best experiences that can be had (legally)

Trying to reason with hurricane season.... Due to the weather expected from Hurricane Hanna that is approaching New England, Saturday's show will start at 3:00pm instead of 8:00pm.

I just got an email from a friend at the concert tonight saying they heard the concert time was being changed on Saturday to 3 PM. Has anyone else heard this rumor? I'm looking to have it confirmed to be true or false.

I hope the storm hit early Saturday AM now. If they are that worried about people's safety just cancel or PPD the show. But nope, they would rather screw everyone over and pocket the money. And I am not talking about the less of tailgating aspect, it is the people who were not planning on getting there until mid-late afternoon.

36 hours notice, I bet there will be thousands of people who won't know about this change.
