it does say Fri and Sunday but when you click on each it gives the correct dates. My guess is the system is screwed up because of leap year or human error (or both).....but I think it is safe to say there will not be 2 more shows added to Great Woods, let alone 4 shows in four straight days, but it would be really nice if he did do 4 straight shows at GW. We could just stay in the lot straight through and party like Woodstock (minus the burning cars) of course.
or exploding grilles?
They didn't need 4 days to do that, it only took them 45 minutes to blow up their grill.
I remember I was already fairly buzzed when that happened . . . all those firetrucks rolling in and some guy saying that someone blew up with a gas grille and I was like "nah . . . no way" . . . hope they are ok.
The couple had a propane grill which wouldn't light, so they poured gasoline into the grill area then thew a match in..... then.....as Emeril says BAM!
No they didn't...the people were / are cooks at Trader Ed's...actually went to the fund raiser for them there....no gas was thrown on the grill!!
That may be true, but after that incident it was reported someone threw gas on the grill. I said it was propane (although PHJIM's Post says "
Buffett fans hurt in gas grill explosion "), looks like it may have been charcoal. Either way, happy they are OK.

TongaTam wrote:just an fyi... it was heard on the news last night, they threw gasoline on a charcoal grill that wasnt going well enough. The gas exploded. Sounds like two of them will be ok - well, if 1st & 2nd degree burns are ok, and the 3rd is more serious but they didnt say how much or if he'll be ok.
Now... according to people who were there, these three were caterers through Bacardi for the 'Bacardi Party'... this is 2nd hand info so not sure how accurate etc. Also, it was still early in the day and fairly mild... I dont think the Bacardi bus had been there all that long before this happened. Not that someone can't get drunk that quick.. but think it sounds more like just a stupid thing to do over a drunkin' stupid thing to do.
The one story posted here was from the Herald which, if everyone will recall, thier stories on us from last year and Fenwway are biased against parrotheads. I havent been able to locate any other stories that give better information to balance this or credit it, only people that were near there or what was said on the news last night.
bottom line... i doubt there will be any gas or charcoal grills there next year...

Buffett fans hurt in gas grill explosion

Three fans tailgating outside the Tweeter Center's Jimmy Buffett concert dumped gasoline on a grill, causing an explosion that sent them to the hospital, a fire official said.
The fans were among hundreds in the parking lot outside the concert venue when the explosion happened, Fire Lt. Richard Fiske said.
One news report said the fans had trouble starting a grill and dumped gasoline on it in an attempt to light a fire. The gas caused an explosion that injured all three, WHDH-TV Ch. 7 reported.
Fiske said the victims were taken to a ``level one trauma unit'' at Rhode Island Hospital following the 2:45 p.m. explosion.
Police and fire officials did not release the victims' names, hometowns or the seriousness of their injuries.
Buffett's annual summertime show at the Tweeter Center went ahead despite the explosion, Fiske said.
