This is weird - I just went onto Live Nation and did a search on Buffett. There are two sets of dates coming up. If you search by artist then just scroll down the page (don't click on link) I see Friday and Sunday on the front page but when you click on that link to the right to get to the page it shows Thursday and Saturday. :-? Then if you go back to the original search and click on the artist link Thursday an Sunday shows up. Do you think it's possible they are going to be adding 2 more shows? That would be awesome! :o Am I losing my mind or is this happening to others? All shows going on sale 3/10. Do you buy your tix through Live Nation or Ticketbastard? Just curious.

Can't wait - GW was THE best Buffet concert I EVER went to! We didn't go to any concerts last year - all fell on family events! So we are long overdue!

Also - hubby and I going to MOTM this year! YIPEE!! :D

it does say Fri and Sunday but when you click on each it gives the correct dates. My guess is the system is screwed up because of leap year or human error (or both).....but I think it is safe to say there will not be 2 more shows added to Great Woods, let alone 4 shows in four straight days, but it would be really nice if he did do 4 straight shows at GW. We could just stay in the lot straight through and party like Woodstock (minus the burning cars) of course.

Yeah. To Norwood is highway driving. Three highways . . 495 to 95 to 1. Police everywhere - - - beware.

I used to live in Norwood and I belive that hotel is down near that big interscetion of Rt 1 and Neponset Street. When I lived in Norwood that area was police hangout central.

They didn't need 4 days to do that, it only took them 45 minutes to blow up their grill.

Okay...Cancelled Norwood on everyones advice. Booked the Residence Inn in Franklin. I know, it's about 10 miles away as well....but a straight shot up 495. Stayed there the last 2 years for GWs and Gilllette. Plus at $200 a night you can sleep 6 people in the larger rooms (2 bedrooms and a pullout sofa). Last year we used their gas grill on Friday night and had a little pre-party outside.
And as I grow older, there is so much that I do not know. I'm drawn to those who are bolder and go where no one dares to go...

Or how about a trip north (for you) to see the Sox in Baltimore at the end of May?

That I might be able to do as it's only a 6 hour drive from here.. I haven't seen them since last year when I was on a business trip to Dallas!

That may be true, but after that incident it was reported someone threw gas on the grill. I said it was propane (although PHJIM's Post says "Buffett fans hurt in gas grill explosion "), looks like it may have been charcoal. Either way, happy they are OK.

The article is no longer online but the posts are.

Sounds like two of them will be ok - well, if 1st & 2nd degree burns are ok, and the 3rd is more serious but they didnt say how much or if he'll be ok.

Now... according to people who were there, these three were caterers through Bacardi for the 'Bacardi Party'... this is 2nd hand info so not sure how accurate etc. Also, it was still early in the day and fairly mild... I dont think the Bacardi bus had been there all that long before this happened. Not that someone can't get drunk that quick.. but think it sounds more like just a stupid thing to do over a drunkin' stupid thing to do.

The one story posted here was from the Herald which, if everyone will recall, thier stories on us from last year and Fenwway are biased against parrotheads. I havent been able to locate any other stories that give better information to balance this or credit it, only people that were near there or what was said on the news last night.

bottom line... i doubt there will be any gas or charcoal grills there next year...

Here is the article. Doesn't mean it is true just what was reported.

Buffett fans hurt in gas grill explosion
By O’Ryan Johnson
Thursday, June 23, 2005 - Updated: 09:28 AM EST

Three fans tailgating outside the Tweeter Center's Jimmy Buffett concert dumped gasoline on a grill, causing an explosion that sent them to the hospital, a fire official said.
The fans were among hundreds in the parking lot outside the concert venue when the explosion happened, Fire Lt. Richard Fiske said.
One news report said the fans had trouble starting a grill and dumped gasoline on it in an attempt to light a fire. The gas caused an explosion that injured all three, WHDH-TV Ch. 7 reported.
Fiske said the victims were taken to a ``level one trauma unit'' at Rhode Island Hospital following the 2:45 p.m. explosion.
Police and fire officials did not release the victims' names, hometowns or the seriousness of their injuries.
Buffett's annual summertime show at the Tweeter Center went ahead despite the explosion, Fiske said.
- - “If it doesn't work out there will never be any doubt that the pleasure was worth all the pain.”

Hello New England Parrotheads.....

My wife Heather and I will be out for both shows. We are having the "Margaritaville Bus" driven out from California and we are flying into Boston. This will be Heather's 2nd and 3rd Boston show from the Gillette shows last year and for me, well it is my tenth year for Jimmy in Boston.

All BNer's are welcome to party with us. We are staying at the Normandy Farms RV place and will be at both shows early in the day. Look for a 45' new black/gold Country Coach tour bus with "FINS BUS" California plates.

FINS UP!!
Boats, (Tour) Buses, Bentleys, Bars & Babe (wife)

22 years of Buffett with 131 shows and counting!
