Worst I've been to?

Don't remember which year, but there was a show in Chicago that was somewhat a dud. Somebody threw something on stage and hit Jimmy....energy level just wasn't the same....not to mention our car breaking down.

I have sat through heavy rains at Alpine and at Riverport in St. Louis, but had fun at both shows.

I can't really think of any.
There's been a few shows where the seats weren't spectacular, but I've always enjoyed the concerts themselves.

This is so EASY.
San Diego, Coors . . . our first time there, my birthday 2003.
The people were really rude in the lawn. We were partying normally, not obnoxious, but kinda Alpine Valley-esque. We were told to sit down during the show, and that people in Cali have a life! Then our friends went to use the porta potties in the parking lot after, the slid into the "muck" that the overflowing porta potties had created. They stripped down oustide the suburban and rode home smelly with only moving blankets to cover them.
The rest of the concerts we have been to, I wouldn't even remember any "bad" things, but that show was something else!

Our first trip out of town for a concert was in 2004 to Raleigh (RBC). We had a good time but the sound was the worse I've ever experienced - and I am not a audiophile!

I had front row center seats in Cleveland. You would think what could be bad about that.....we couldn't understand a stinking word of the concert. All you heard was a bunch of garble. The only way we could figure out that he was singing fins was to watch the audience behind us. It was a real let down.

A bad night at a concert is still better than a good day at work. :D

What chippewa sez!!! The worst experience was Tampa 2005 when the people behind us kept tugging GBM's shirt to sit down during any non-yellow album song. .....some people get it and others don't. :D

Soundwise the front row can actually be one of the worst places to be. Usually in front of the soundboard is the ideal spot for a better mix. Then again every venue is different but the front row thing pretty much goes for all of them.

Sometimes "bad" turns into "good" or at least "an adventure to remember"...

Aspen 2006. All set: plane reservations, prepaid hotel reservation, rental car at a more or less reasonable price. But wait.... it snows in Colorado in the winter.... Denver International closed.... flights canceled..... game over.....

Well.... Not quite.... got the last seat on a plane to Vegas.... got one of the last SUVs available for rental..... had the most beautiful and incredible 10 hour drive back to Aspen.... Made the show.... another BNer with a hugely generous heart gave us a ride back to Denver, saving us the $160/day rental on the only car left in Aspen.... Visited with other BNers in Denver... Slept in some BNers' recliner - even though they had a house full of relatives they made room.... Denver International opened.... made it back home for Christmas....

Yes, it cost some extra in $$ because of the snow.... but the memories? Priceless....

Don't recall the year but it was 6-8 years ago at lakewood in Atlanta. Just prior to the concert starting a guy had a heart attack in his seat and a nurse that was sitting next to us go to him to help. After he was taken out by medical, the nurse said she thought he was dead. Bit of a downer.

Lakewood again, I want to say 1997 or 98, getting old and the memory is failing, midway through the show torrential rain with lightning for the rest of the show. Wet and cold but the lightning made it pretty exciting.

I have been going to shows for 18 years in and around New England, New York and Florida and personally I would have to say last year's second show at Foxboro or Gillette Stadium as it is now called was the the worst of my 75 or so shows.

Every year we go to both New England shows 1.) couples one night 2.) all guys the other night

The problems started with the first night's show (couples night)......Best friend's wife flashed her cans to us in the RV lot, other friend (buddy #2 -recently divorced) grabs a handful in a drunken moment. Best friend stews about it all week - shows were spread a week apart. Calls wife a bad name as he his leaving for guys night - she punches him in the eye and gives him a shiner  We all meet at a friend's house - buddy # 2 who did the fondling at show #1 immediately thanks best friends for the opportunity last week to feel his wife up!!! Not good - I had to tell buddy #2 to stay away from best friend or die.....

It was 99 degrees out in September, my Tahoe overheated ($600 repair a week later), they parked us like sardines, totally killed the tailgating (when you can't open your tailgate), our seats were in the upper 300's that night (vs the field first show), you couldn't hear anything, zero. People were leaving left and right. Another friend fell asleep, and slept for the entire show.....

Real bad KHARMA, but we got home safe and sound, and the shows will be great at Great Woods this year!!!!

Mine would have to be the second show in Philly back in 2005. The show was at the ball park where the Phillies play. They have stadium seating with no rails.. Anyway probably about 15 minutes before the show started some drunk @$$ guy behind us trips and falls into me, sending me into the chairs and eventually onto the concrete in the seats in front of us.. Within seconds BNer's came to my rescue.. Frank, didn't know what to do.. he thought I smacked my face on the concrete.. I layed there facing the ground for a few moments b/c I didn't know what just happened.. I hit my chest on the seat on the way down so it knocked the wind out of me.. I didn't know what to do.. I was laughing and crying (it hurt!) and trying to catch my breathe.. I eventually got up.. no broken bones, no sprains, no major blood just some major bruises and a few scrapes.. Once the show started I was so scared of getting knocked over again that I wasn't really paying attention to the show.. just all the idiots behind me.

Sadly that is the last Buffett show I've been to too! :(

I was there.
It was 2003 or 2004.
Some jackass in the front row was throwing a ton of beads at Jimmy, and hit him right in the eye.
Needless to say he was p*ssed off and said to that moron "Don't throw any of that sh*t on the stage, okay?"
For whatever reason, that idiot behaved himself for the rest of the concert.
(Maybe the fact that Charleston was practically in his lap for the rest of the concert MAY have had something to do with it).
