No, proudly I can say that was not me. (one of our crew, sadly) Done some other strange things but not in front of that many pholks. BTW: have potty tent will travel. I never leave home with out it anymore.

Well, like I said--We're going to Indy this year. WHen is Charlotte? Is he even coming there? Anyway, we actually live closer to Atlanta, but prefer not to go there.

Making mental note to buy potty supplies...

Can't make Indy, just coming back from vacation. Might need to get back to work. Still waiting to hear on Charlotte.

I was at that show.... it was COLD and Wet!!! JB had to postpone the Cincy show because he was sick after the concert at Alpine.

I can't remember which year specifically... mid 90's...... Alpine was SO wet that everyone's vehicles got stuck in the mud. It was fun watching everyone slide down the hill!

Indianapolis 2003. The traffic sucked and the tailgating was even worse. It didn't help matters that the local cops were stalking everyone and issuing citations like they were going out of style. I will never go back to Indy. Nothing against the people in the lot, it was just the combination of all the other factors.

To paraphrase the comic book guy......"worst episode ever!!!"

It was June 2, 2001.
I was there, and bundled up like Nanook of the North.
I have a bootleg C.D. of that concert, and it's funny listening to it as Jimmy makes jokes about the weather that day.

Alpine, '04.
Got in a big fight with my wife in the parking lot so I went into the show by myself. I just kind of hung out by the decks the whole time. There's no way I'm missing the show that I wait for year-round, just for a fight.

She was p*ssed, and to this day I can't remember what the fight was about....she's still p*** but I'm not bringing it up if she doesn't!

That was crappy for me,

but it's my own darn fault.

Okay let me start by saying that the shows were good, but venue/crowd wise were the bad points on these.

1. Birmingham - 2001 - Our seats were up high and the sound was better out at the concession stand than at our seats. May have been the last time I'll see a show at the BJCC.

2. Nashville - 1999 - Again Terrible sound at our seats at the Nashville Arena. we had gone two years prior at the same venue and with different seats the sound was great, but a reserved seat show its not like you can move around.

3. Nashville - 1994 - Great reserved seats at Starwood, but the idiots in front of us were smashed drunk and smoking weed, to toop that off the drunk chick of the bunch puked HUGE at her seat and security made her friends take her to the car and not come back. So we got the pleasure of the Sweet Aroma of Puke for the remainder of the show. By the way she puked during the Iguanas - her friends didn't even get to see Jimmy play.

And yes the lightning was Super Wicked at Lakewood two years ago. I was oneof the 'lucky' ones to be inside the venue when it start to sky to ground strikes.

I agree on the Gillette shows. I went to both. Great tailgating...terrible sound. Thank god for Great Woods.

We also had someone get arrested but we were able to get him out in time and we got to the show but then it rained the whole time.

Weather hasn't always been great, but at least I got to see Buffett in concert! I always try to make the best with what I get! It rained so much in Chicago once, tons of people were leaving early and someone left a big tarp on the hill so we did what any drunk parrothead would do...turned it into a slip-n-slide! Good times!

OMG!! I remember that slip and slide!! :wench:

Potty tent...... that was the best idea that I saw last summer in Pitt. Was that you with the camo tent with the potty bucket???

The bathrooms were a HUGE issue last year. And after being there all day I was afraid to go in the woods anymore....... you didnt want to follow someone elses path, because GOd only knows what you were going to find along the way on a well beaten potty path!! And trudging through an unbeaten path isnt fun either...

Another vote for Atlanta ’06 at Lakewood!! The set list was okay but the big thing was the damn thunderstorm and drunks! The stupid security staff would not allow anyone to bring umbrellas but they gladly sold you ponchos for $10.00. I was in the covered section and we still got soaked. However, I had a friend who was on the lawn and it was ten times worse for them! Aside from all the mud they had a bunch of drunks that started a fight.

Atlanta in ’03 it rained and his set list was really broken up! Hid did a lot of the classics and Margaretiaville in the first set.

The NYC show at MSG in ’06 was GREAT!! It rained but it was inside and the crowd was GREAT!! No real drunks, a GREAT set list, and everyone having a good time.

I think a majority of the fans that go to the shows want to have a great time but its those handful of drunks that cause problems and can ruin an otherwise great concert for a lot of people.

Alpine...the only time we went there. Not sure of the year. Tailgate was great. Met some great BNers.

Thought we were going to die on the way in to the show. Surging crowds. Security on horseback pushing people all over. Even though we left to go in plenty early we missed the first couple of songs.

Security letting surges of people through at a time causing the crowd to keep pushing. I was scared to death.

Also had a girl who was carried out past us kicking and screaming.

The bathroom lines were horrible. And the condition of the bathrooms was worse.

That was either 2002 or 2003. I wasn't there, but heard about it.
