...wish he wasn't retiring for my own selfish reasons, (love watching him play)! but I totally understand being mentally and physically tired...I am his age and feel a few more aches and pains too 
I think it would have been much worse to see him come back and watch a catastrophic injury end his career. I know the last few years when he's taken the hits I just wince every time.
