Announces them all on the one day ....

some people here would fall over with stress trying to make all their travel arrangements

Ticketmaster would fall over

No one would ahve anything to post about .... as Larry said - it would all be over in a week or so .....

If they are all announced at the same time - not everyone has the same cash flow - eg people with kids/mortgage etc - nice that they are paced out - so people can pace out their ticket buying

He is still announcing tours - get over it ........... he could retire ya know :P

Although...people traveling to your area help to boost YOUR economy in the area.....

Let please not debate whether or not people should be able to buy tickets to a different concert then where they live. For me, its an opportunity to travel and see other cities...to see old friends....everyone is more then welcome to travel to MY are for as many shows as they want....

Realistically, I have not had problems getting tickets to any shows that I have ever wanted..... :D
Please don't pitch it as eco-devo for an area? it also has nothing to do with ticket sales (tho the intelligence of selling tickets to Alpine, Indy, and Chicago on the same day at the same time could be thought suspect...).

It is what it is: either a lack of organization, or increasingly a lack of recognition that fans might actually have to plan around a concert rather than pick up and go like Jimmy's neighbours in PBI and the Hamptons.

Personally, I'd like to see one fell swoop of announcements when the whole tour is in place. And staggered ticket sales so it isn't a gigantic cluster-frag.

noo nooo...I don't meant that economic development is the REASON that dates aren't announced...I'm just saytng that as a local I wouldn't care if people were traveling into my city for WHATEVER reason....it can only help to boost the economy

If I knew already that he was coming here, I'd patiently wait for the on sale date, even if those were scattered. But, because he could throw us a curveball, as he did when he dropped Merriweather from the tour, I'm worried that I might not be able to see him here for any of these reasons. If I knew there could be a problem, I might consider Philadelphia or elsewhere as an alternative. But, because I don't know what's going to happen here, I don't want to buy tickets for elsewhere and then end up buying tickets here too when/if they go on sale. If he did skip here and other realistic options sell out, I'm out of luck. You see where I'm going with this. I think it would be better to announce the tour all at once, even if he scattered the on-sale dates. It's frustrating.

oh. relax at least you have those Rush tickets.
Which can be yours for the asking price of 2 Buffett tickets in the same venue and spot!
Any takers?
Naw, I'll keep my Jimmy tix but maybe a Rush fan won 2 front row Jimmy tickets and will trade ya. Better post on a Rush fan site.(are there any?) :o

I'm just saying that if Jimmy announced all the shows at the same time, people in say, Cincy, might not buy tickets to an Indy show, if they knew he was coming to Cincy. And who knows, maybe those tickets end up going unused, since he maybe announced Cincy later on, and said person got tickets to that show as well.

I don't care if people travel to see him. I don't believe in limiting ticket sales (except to damn ticket brokers). If Jimmy ever plays my corner of BFE (yeah, right!), I'll be the first one to invite y'all to my house for the pre-tailgate party.

I had forgotten all about those pictures....and what I saw, one fine day as I strolled to the port-o-let... :o :P :o

Shannon, I can't see your picture, but I'm missing quite a few because of "filters" these days.

What I will say are these statements.

If Jimmy had announced Houston and Frisco a bit closer together, maybe I'd have made them both work...again...But as is, I'm glad I'm going to Frisco.

two, Jason, if Jimmy ever plays your neck of BFE, be sure that you let me know. I don't know that he's coming back to CO without it being December and the tickets being about twice as much. --it was a great time, but I'd love to tailgate again with my CO pheathered phriends!!
