Frank and Lola.. its pretty close to a Alabama song.. Only takes me about 20-25 minutes from my front door to the Florabama, so I may be partial to Frank and Lola

All the towns he mentions in the song (Stars Fell on Alabama) are in AL. I'm from Spanish Fort. My husband and I danced to this song at our wedding...

I'm pretty sure we got most of the others, though.

I lived in Mobile, though...and there is no Government at Bay Avenue (Love in the Library)....so I actually don't think it's about Mobile. But still a great song!

yes.. it is. Government crosses Bay(ou) Ave near the old library.

just got back from Stars last night, and there is no place better to kick off Spring Training for the Concert season than www.sfoa.org

So, it's Bayou Ave and not Bay?? Hmm...sounds like a stretch to me

Hehe....works for me.

I always looked for Bay Avenue whenever I was down by the library...all this time I wasn't thinking like Jimmy! :D

we just did the "find the library, let the street directions sort themselves out" thing.

Tho, it has been 2 years since I was by the library in Mobile too.

It's called Biloxi.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

So, I know it may be too late for this thread, but did anyone mention, "Tonight I just Need my Guitar" from Far Side of the World?

"Back on the Eastern Shore"....that's across Mobile Bay in Fairhope/Daphne/Spanish Fort....

Someone may have mentioned it, but I just didn't look before I started typing this :P :P
