But my family is notoriously non talented when it comes to music:roll:
I have a native american flute that I occasionally try to play. It causes to cats to come over and bite my hair.

It's "UKULELE", and pronouced "ook u le lee". thank you very much.

Nutmeg, if you ever get the itch to buy a uke please talk to me first. You can get a very decent one for under $100. and more than enough for a beginner. They are extremely easy to play. I come from a family of musicians and although I play the flute decently I ALWAYS wanted to play guitar. I have tried for years on guitar and it never clicked for me..some wierd mental block. Then one day I picked up a uke and went crazy. I now play daily, go to classes 2 days a week and to jams twice a week. (there is nothing more fun than being in a room with 60 other uke players...it's hilarious!) Don't tell me you can't carry a pitch or keep time....if you can walk, you can dance, if you can talk, you can sing....and anyone can play the ukulele! With just two easy cords you can play 62 different songs!
BTW, didn't mean to get off track on the original post, that's a beautiful guitar....just wondering, why the 5 string?[/url]

As promised, here's pics of the fretboard inlay, and another tiki-looking dude on the head..
It really does have 6 strings....
My fingers hurt almost too much to type, though

I've been working on my 3 chords over the weekend. I'll be selling albums before you know it.
Now to figure out how to get my wife to throw her bra at me...

Alright who said it had 5 string first.... glad it's a six string...now you can play Margaritaville and Six String Music and not have to change the words.

Not
quite as bad this morning, thanks.
I need to find a good deal on earplugs for the wife, until I get the hang of actually playing

Thanks! I knew that spelling didn't look right....and was too lazy to look it up. I will definitely check with you next time before we go to Hawaii and I get the urge again.
As far as the if you can walk, you can dance.

I definitely can't dance...but then again I'm not sure about the walking either (broken ankle, foot and wrist all from different falls while walking)
That is a very pretty guitar and I hope you are enjoying it sore fingers and all!
