Half our clocks forgot to "fall back" last year - so it should be easier this go around...did replace some smoke detector batteries though!!!karat wrote:Just doing my civic duty - It is SPRING ahead....

Since my batteries are for back-up only (the 8 alarms we have -counting smokes and COs - are all hard-wired) I change them all on New Years Day.moog wrote:I change the alarm batteries in April and Oct. This way it's an even 6 months. Not 8 and 4.
It is easier for me to remember, and the ones I take out after a year still show a GOOD rating on a battery tester.

I set them all ahead one hour Saturday night, but I didn't change any of them.
They're the same clocks I've had for years. Since they all work fine, I didn't see any reason to change any of them.
I meant the time, did you change the time *sigh*

It's a bit of wackiness here in SD, what with this EARLIER time change now in March,
that 20 miles south in Tijuana... they DON'T change their clocks for 3 more weeks.

The batteries will last on the smoke alarm for a year. Depends what Rasppy burns, I mean cooks.
