Is it me or did the GreatWoods seating prices go up?

Post by Johnny's Lounge »

Did they did go up..... A TON?

Covered Reserved Seating: $136.00 - I thought this was $126.00

Uncovered Reserved Seating: $136.00 - I thought this was about $89.00-ish

General Admission Lawn Ticket: $36.00

I could be wrong but I don't think so. I think these prices just went up today.

Am I wrong? :o :o :o

I hadn't seen the break-out.

Jimmy last played Great Woods 2 years ago and yes the covered pavillion was $126.00 - so that is a $10.00 increase - in two years - not all that bad.

When GW first put seats in the old lawn they were the same price as the covered ones - in their mind a seat was a seat, I guess. :-?

BUT I think in 2006 there was a lower price for the outdoor seats, possibly around $90.00 or so .. but I'm not entirely sure.

If they are back up to being priced the same at covered pavilion seating then, yeah, that IS a huge jump.

Originally the prices said $29 to $129, so they did change them.

The uncovered seats that GW added a couple of years ago have always been the same as the covered seats for a JB show, which has always p*ssed me off. No way section 12 should pay the same as section 2. Other artists who have played GW since the seating additions have had 3 tier pricing: covered reserved, uncovered reserved, and lawy, as it should be...

My bad, sorry ...
I thought they had lowered the outside seats one time.
I must have seen that pricing for another artist.

And I agree ... it is ridiculous to charge the same for covered vs uncovered.

Not really arguing with you, but two or three years ago I remember we went for and got outdoor seats at GW because they were something like $86 instead of $126. I believe there were three pricing tiers.

Not arguing here, either, but are you sure it was JB? Seems like this has been a constant sore spot with me, but maybe the first couple of years with the new seats the prices were 3-tier....

We live a couple hours away. JB is the only act we've ever seen at GW. It had to be him.

Maybe it was just that one year. Maybe I've just been drinking too many margaritas. In any case, it's a shame if outdoor and indoor tickets are now (or always have been?) the same. Outdoors you're watching the concert on TV. But that doesn't stop us from going! :D

You may well be right, that the first year or two it was 3 tier. Hmmm.... maybe when Live Nation took over it changed... could be....

I'll miss the $40 bucks we had to pay last year to park at Gillette stadium ... I guess that's included in the $136 for this year's ticket.

trying to remember what a floor seat and a 100-level seat cost last year.... I think about $110 with fees for the 100-level, so that's $150 with parking, and $145 for the floor? So a reserved seat this year is a little cheaper than floor last year? It killed me to pay for parking.....

We paid $126 (without TM fees) last 2 years for pavilion seats at Nissan....this year it says $130.25 and says includes a $6 parking fee. We never paid for parking before.....even when we got there at 1 PM. :o
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
