I'm in for this one too, of course. And I guess I'm doing whatever the majority of pholks are doing. My Duke lover buddies can't believe he's going to be there!!! Should be interesting!!!

Waiting to see if my PHC will get tix to this show or Nissan...we had originally requested tix for Raleigh, so I'm guessing we'll get this...but that's just a guess. [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Just got this about the parking situation...

Shannon,

At this point....................it is just a rumor!! If the concert should occur, then all applicable information will be posted on our website @ parking.duke.edu.

As soon as we know something, information will be posted.

I think that's what she meant by the ................ in her sentence...she couldn't confirm it...but wasn't denying it.

I just posted the message to relay about the parking situation....

Even if it's 8am to get those spaces... That's probably way too late...

Still can't comprehend how to divy up 2350 spaces for 34,000... There will be so much competition!

I'll really be interested in seeing what the parking director proposes. If there's actually a concert.

Oh, I don't know if there would be that much competition at 8:00am. The last Charlotte show started, gates opened at noon and the lot really didn't fill up until 4:00pm.

I think we could get 5-10 cars in early, then those that came later could just find us. I may have to ride up to Wallace Wade this Sunday to scope things out!

Maybe we could set up a "Krzyzewski-ville" type tent city and camp out for a week before the show like the Cameron Crazys do for Duke-UNC B-ball games.
I'm in!

And if I don't die by Thursday I'll be roarin' Friday night!

GOOD LUCK ---- bros must always do what their sisters (big or little) wants, right? You can't miss three phlockings in Carolina - it would be bad karma  - maybe they could fly into Raleigh and you stay first two nights in RDU - there is Durham Bulls game that night (if I am reading schedule right). :D
Talked to the bro and sissy-in-law last night......when asked if they thought they might like to catch a Buffett show while they're in this neck of the woods, they both said, "Hell, yes!!" so it looks like we're in for this one. :D :D :D

......and Janice, you're right about the Bulls....they play at 5:00 Sunday night or we can head for the beach a little earlier on Sunday and catch the Kinston Indians at 2:00 on our way there.....great idea!
I am umbilically connected to the temperate zone....
