If only she had stayed at the Hyatt, and not with Carol and Pam for the girl talk and pillow fight at the Marriot Sat. night..

just got home. warm here, but strangely, I am acclimated...
Thank you Scott and Dave for all the logistical work and an excellent tailgate experience.
Thanks for the chance to meet everyone. Some very good memories, and a lot of reasons to come back to the Tarheel State.
Gonzo, thank you for the cigar
Jack, thank you for the chance to taste some incredible rum
Barry and Stu, thanks for the couch to crash on, and for keeping me out of trouble.
Flock.. all I can say is, it was incredibly-altruistic of you to give all the girls a piece of a$$ as a special "Flock-venir.."

:D:D
Thank you all again, it was an incredibly-good weekend with friends old, new, and just not-yet-met.

Hey everyone! I just got my voice mail from ya'll at the concert.

Thanks Heather! Ya'll made my night!!!!
Hate that I wasn't able to be there, I missed you guys. The DJs last couple of songs were Buffett - so that was good. However the people at the reception looked at me funny when I was doing fins! Thankfully my cousins joined in so I wasn't alone singing and dancing around. Crazy people froM Indiana.. they will roll around on the ground during "Proud Mary" but not do fins!?!?!? Priorities are obviously in the wrong place.
Good to know that jell-o shooters will re-gel

Maybe dry ice would have been a good idea... Sounds like everything was fantastic!!!
Can't wait to see pictures.

Just got back to LI after being delayed because of bad weather in NYC. We were already in the air for about 45 minutes and this is what we heard from the pilot: There's a hold in JFK because of thinderstorms in the NYC area. They're putting us in a holding pattern for about 50 minutes. We have enough fuel for 30 minutes. I'm contacting the dispatcher to see what he wants us to do.

We missed you Denise. I was trying to find a good time to call you...and once we were in the show it was as good a time as any. Took good care of the yellow jello and it was enjoyed by all.
It was so great to see everyone again and meet new phriends!! I think that is by far one of the best tailgates I have been to. Good people, good sights, good rum and tequila and of course jello shots!! I got to see naughty lessons being given, tropical thongs, some interesting a$$ and pasties.

Getting to see Jimmy ride on by was the icing on the cake!! Laurie...cannot wait to see your pics! Hopefully I can get mine posted soon.
Dori...I saw Molly up on the big screen!! way to go Molly!! Your kids were great!
I also wanted to thank everyone for making my mom feel so welcome at her first Buffett show. She was christened well. Her new favorite drink is the jaeger-bomb..thanks phil.

And many thanks to Ringling for giving her the stogie and for quite possibly the best tequila I have ever had. She was a little nervous going to the show not knowing what to expect but commented this morning how happy everyone was and how much fun we all had. I told her that's what being a parrothead is all about..i think she is hooked. She needed that.
I think it took me a good 3 hours to cool off last night even after a cold shower. SO GLAD we were in the shade...after walking around the parking lot, I had rocks melted into my flip flop...
Scott, Elissa, Dave and Janice.... THANK YOUIt was such a great time and y'all did a phantastic job of putting it all together.
Well off to bed for me...still trying to recover.

Hope everyone made it home safely.

I didn't take a lot of pictures, and some that I did take have been removed to protect the guilty.

Just got off the phone with Sarah. her original flight out of Raleigh was cancelled. They spent all afternoon scrambling to find another. They do, with a connection through newark. they get on the plane, it rolls from the gate and then, because of the weather in Newark, they are forced to sit on the tarmac for two hours. Finally get to Newark with a 9:45 connector to Boston. As of 9:30, still no plane.

And where are my manners?
Thanks to Dave, Scott, Jason and whoever else helped organize the taligate for all the hard work. Thanks to Albert (I think it was Albert since the reservation was in his name) for setting up the brunch at Bogarts, what a great place. Thanks to Garry for being my taxi driver and picking me up at the airport Friday then taking me back today. Thanks to Shannon and Allison for letting me lend a couple of helping hands and give them some support.
Great seeing everyone, some again, a lot more for the first time. It was an almost perfect weekend, except for all the heat.

Just wanted to send my shout out to all those involved with the tailgate. As one of my group said, the shady spot was worth the $10 itself! It was nice to put some faces with names. I also think I learned a bit from my naughty lesson! lol Everyone at the tailgate was as nice and genuine as I hoped they would be. Thanks for putting it all together, and thanks to everyone for making it a very enjoyable day/evening. Now I just have to figure out how to repay my wife for letting me go!
