I don't think so....but I'm just guessing because it's a college stadium.....
Anybody got any ideas besides hiding a bottle in our bras?

When he plays Jones Beach they don't sell alcohol inside. It's a state park and in NY that means an alcohol free zone.

Looked at that map!
From what I remember when I went to college... a few years ago...
If you lived near the football stadium, and were a student, your parking permit was no good on that day, so first come, first served. I'd think a Jimmy Buffett show is kinda like a football game?
Just a guess!

I never drink alcohol after the Jimmy show starts anyway...I've generally had enough to drink by then.

I don't see why they wouldn't sell beer. It's an NCAA policy not to sell alcohol. Even when they play college BB games at a pro or neutral arena the NCAA steps in.
You don't think Buffett would sign a contract that wouldn't allow him to peddle Landshark do you?
We do want LIPH to come to the Carolinas, so I'm sure there will be plenty of Landshark available

When I went to the State-ASU game two years ago, I was amazed that the entire stadium cleared out at halftime to go back to the tail-gate. Everyone drank a couple, then came back in the stadium for the second half.
I'm used to the "NO PASS OUT" policy, but the State policy is much better. Get likkered up for the second half too!

Agree on both accounts. Not selling LS would be a drop in revenue so doesn't seem likely, esp. since they had beer at the RS in same venue so know it is doable and we know JB has good contract people/lawyers/finance people.
Even if they don't sell LS, I still have a year old LS with Larry's name on it so no reason for Larry not to come down east.
Can local pholks post as much info and detail on Duke parking / tailgating? We had such a bad experience at the Rolling Stones. Don't know that area well and would have no idea what to even suggest or what we should plan.

Better yet, does anyone have a contact with either a Duke booster or a "local" business that can help us establish a meeting place for this tailgate?

I went to ECU, and they only enforced parking permits on weekdays. Anyone could park anywhere on the weekend.
When I was a freshman (and had to park at the freshman lot), they used the freshman lot for game parking. So, there was someone checking to make sure you had tickets, before you could park there (it was not first come first serve).
This was really annoying when there was a Sunday night game, because I had to stay up until the end of the game and wait for the parking lot to clear out before I could park my car where it was supposed to be. Or else I would have a ticket on my car before I even woke up on Monday. Eeeerrrrrrr!
At Duke, there are lots of hotels within a mile or two of the stadium. It would be great if the park and ride buses would take us to the hotels (no worries about getting a dui). But then again, where would we tailgate? At the hotel? At Bristow last year, the Best Western had a tailgate party at the hotel. But somehow that doesn't seem like it would be the same.

I'm not sure, but summer semester may have started by then. Won't be as crowded, but usually the same parking policies apply to summer semesters as for fall and spring semester.

parking is usually a free for all on the weekends-- especially if there's an event. heck, they make me leave work early on the days they're having events!
