As I said, it's not as if he were a Republican.
No...if he were a Republican, all of the Republicans would be saying "Aw, this isn't so bad" rather than calling for his resignation and/or impeachment.
And no doubt many of those have their own closet skeletons; they just haven't been caught yet.
Are we forgetting about the little fling with the cigar in the oval office?!
Why does it all have to be about the law? What about his marriage?
Do you think this chick is going to "stand by her man?"
The fact that anyone is making this about political affiliation is ridiculous.
What happen to morals?
Couldn't sleep last night, caught a bit on the Jimmy Kimmel show where he played that tune as a soundtrack to video clips of disgraced politicians. All of them at the podium, with their wives trotted out next to them to show "support." And you can tell none of them wanted to be there.

I also believe we need to order our priorities correctly and start with the politicians guilty of the most heinous and far reaching impeachable crimes . . .
Sooo, where does sex with a very hig-priced hooker fall in the "most heinous crime list"?
Near the bottom.
Near the top I'd place subverting the constitution, 'misleading' the nation into an unnecessary and ill-conceived military adventure in Iraq, abuse of the public purse . . . I could go on but you get the idea . . .
So by all means, if the Republicans and their friends in NY state can make a just and successful case for impeachment (although I think it's a little over the top at this point ) then let them. Spitzer did a lot of good work in prosecuting corruption, but it appears he may be a poster boy for the concept of hubris. I wouldn't dream of defending his actions at this point.
But if anyone is truly in an impeachment mood, they should start with the 43rd (and current) President of the United States. The case would be easy to make: most of it is already in the public record or could be dug out (except for missing emails/ erased tapes/lost files - hey sounds like 'Watergate' all over), but the people who would have to make the case for impeachment want to win the White House later this year.
Otherwise 'you-know-who' would have been gone some time ago . . .
I say this to both sides of the political fence
It would be so nice if just once, just once, when your guy got caught do something wrong, we didnt have to resort to the good old playground standard of " yeah well your guy is worser!! "
Just a thought...........
I'm not defending Spitzer. He's not 'my guy'. I hold myself to a much higher standard of behavior (apparently) than many politicians of both parties.
Somebody else brought up the subject of impeachment. I just think if impeachment is on somebody's mind, the logical targets would be the top two guys in the current administration. We could always work our way around to Spitzer later if need be.
Let the process begin . . .
Not to start a fight here, but you did immediately bring the idiot in the White House into the equation when the topic is Spitzer

Yeah I was dissappointed. I was thinking along the lines of Rachel Ward from Sharkey's Machine kinda hot in my head. Not even close. She looks like your above average B&T Coed.

Rachel Ward is a bit long in the tooth now...
But in Sharkey's she was the original $1,000.00/night hottie . . .
