I'm doing Florida this year...
NOTHING quite like Bubba and the Boys in the Sunshine State.. Maybe he'll roll Orlando again this year too...
Guess we'll keep an eye on it.

I have flown to see him... sssoooo.... not sure what you guys are trying to put me down for.
It's the same BS as always... terrorize people who happen to live in florida or the NE.
Move to one of those places or deal with the fact you have to travel. But instead of putting down and being disrespecful and condesending to posters on this board... maybe just NOT POST if you are so annoyed by the people who live in florida and are eager to knwo when he is coming!
Nothing wrong with being excited about buffett. But I always expect a large gang of haters around here.... ugh.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA, now that's funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RinglingRingling wrote:gakk. Get on an airplane, to see a concert? quick.. someone call Larry. Tell him to stop driving to all the shows....seminolegrl06 wrote:I think the point is... again... floridians just want a heads up or actual "rumor" to indicate something. It most likely will be november I guess... based on past history. So maybe I can maybe afford to go somewhere to see him sometime. So its not nearly a year between seeing him play a concert.... I don't know if I can make it!
And instead of always complaining about people longing to see a show because the man himself misses your geographic region and they happen to be in one where he does frequent... how about just nodding and realizing that some people are in the same boat. Some people (especially at gas prices like these) can't afford to drive 7 hours to west palm to see a show eventhough technically he is visiting my state. The 3 tanks of gas it takes me to get down there could buy me a plane ticket somewhere... so you see, even if we do get a florida date... I might have to fly to see a show. Not everything is always as it seems my friends.
I hear his car's upholstery is still wet from the NYC to Paris Roadtrip...

a) hate is such an extreme word. you flatter yourself in thinking you can arouse that kind of passion.seminolegrl06 wrote:I have flown to see him... sssoooo.... not sure what you guys are trying to put me down for.

b) you were the one saying you might actually have to fly to a concert, like that was an unheard of thing.
c) terrorize? you must have some pretty delicate sensibilities that people who question the usual whining of "why won't he play <fill in city here>" or "I can't believe he's not announced a date <fill in city here>" can terrorize you.
d) sure, they're eager to know.. but any sense of memory would show that FL dates are either later in the year, or early. Since it is March, and the dates past Labour Day usually aren't announced for a couple months, whining now comes off as that. Given that, perhaps rather than posting about something that can't be changed (like getting more concert dates), that energy could be put into something more constructive, or just repressed until the announcement.
Sorry if that terrorized you.

Perception is exactly right. When I read the comments from posters in Florida wondering when/if Jimmy would be playing in their home state this year, I didn't see it as "whining" at all. My perception was that they were simply curious/anxious about future dates.
Although I live several hundreds of miles from Florida I, too, am very curious/anxious about Florida dates. After all, I want to plan my winter getaway as soon as possible!

I didn't say flying somewhere was a bad thing. It is just more costly, and to most people more costly doesn't conjure feelings of happiness. But I have flown to see him so I am more than willing sssooo... again.... wtf?
Boston summed it up nicely....
I have seen several people attacked on this site, its usually by the same people. It's unfortunate really.
Not whinning, just excited and if it sounds like whinning to you... well than you are wrong!!!! And if it annoys you so much, how about just ignoring it instead of putting people down?
Hater is a slang termed used for people who put people down for no other reason than they enjoy it, it amsuses them, or they are wallowing in their own bitterness they simply cannot help it because it does one of the aforementioned things.

So why bring it up? Do what you have to do to go, or don't. Drive, fly, or crawl... up to you.seminolegrl06 wrote:I didn't say flying somewhere was a bad thing. and it is something overused, hyperbole, by folks who would like to claim their position is unquestionable and need the "moral high ground" to fortify their claim.
Fact: you made a ridiculous statement, you got called on it. Now you're acting the victim, yet again. You inflate your claims to reinforce your "victimhood", when in fact, you manage to bring a lot of it on yourself based on past behaviour. Plain and simple.

I didn't say anything ridiculous except be excited to hear something about what dates we are going to get. So I can plan out my whole concert schedule... because thinking about buffett shows makes me happy.
I still don't know what is ridiculous about that... I thought the whole point of BN was to get excited about seeing buffett concerts and the planning that goes into those amazing days. Well... not the whole point but a large portion.
So just STOP. jeez....

Well, everything was fine till that large gang of haters showed up. Next thing ya know, there were boobies everywhere and Larry showed up with some hot babe and then the ticket brokers got all the tickets so the only place I'll be able to see Jimmy is in Billings, Montana and .... ooh look, a bunny ....sunseeker wrote:Not sure where this thread took a turn...but everyone needs to chill! There is NOTHING wrong with folks wondering and speculating when dates will be announced....heck....I did it all last summer waiting on a NC date.....
So everyone...PLAY NICE!!!!
Personally, I'd like Jimmy to announce the tour schedule for the next 5 years so I can plan all my upcoming life events accordingly.

We go through this every year. Jimmy, or his management company, will announce the tour dates when they're ready to announce the tour dates. No amount of begging, pleading, whining, or anything else will change that. It's really starting to get tedious.
carry on
