Anon - You can't be more clear than "I'll make you a California promise ... I'll be back next year."

What a great show! I can't wait for Saturday night.

I'll find a vigin to throw in.

Sure was nice chatting with you folks on this board tonight, made the show just more enjoyable.

I won't be on on Saturday, because I'll be there. Listen for me, I'll yell "boatdrinks" real loud during one of the breaks.

okay, quit complaining about the set list being similar to the other night, That is retarded. They have rehearsed a show and that is what they will do each night.
there will be some differences but all in all it will be the same each night. any one that knows anything about music knows that any touring act (springsteen, James taylor, clapton, etc..) will do a very similar show each night. So get off of Buffett's ass for doing a similar show each night. We are lucky he is touring and we are extemely lucky we can hear each show via radio margaritaville. I am sick and tired of ingorent listeners. Feel honored that he is touring and that he is footing the bill for us losers to hear him live every night via the internet.

jonathan --
If you knew anything about music, you wouldn't have included Springsteen as an act who plays the same setlist every night. I saw him 3 times in 2 weeks last summer at Madison Square Garden. He did a different show each time. Sure, some of the songs are in every show, but more than half the set was changed from night to night. If you want to lecture people, at least get your facts straight.

I have seen JB the last three tours in NC (2 in Raleigh and 1 in Greensboro) and wished he had done this tune. Of course he did it the year before in Carter-Finley but I missed that one. I did like the change in Margaritaville from parrotheads to Tarheels.

Finally, someone else who agrees with me. It gets to the point that I don't even want to come here or read some post on one of the newsgroups becasue all of the complaining. Enjoy what we got. Don't know many other artists that go to this much trouble to get their music out to the public.

Jonathon-while I agree with most of your Buffett thoughts in your post, I think he could mix it up a little more. Yes, he'll always have to play Fins/Volcano/Margaritaville etc. for the SKYBH'ers, but with 26 or so songs per night, varying maybe 8-10 per night doesn't seem unreasonable. Also, the Dead would not play the same set nightly. They would call songs on stage-you never knew where the show would go...
