How in the world is Duke a No. 2 seed? Mich. St. a 5 seed? Purdue a 6 seed? Butler a 7 seed? Indiana a 8 seed?
And how the hell did Kentucky get in?
yet another well-done job by the NCAA Selection Committee...

I'm definitely in.
Working on getting tix to the WVU-Arizona game on Thursday night in DC. I think it'll be paired with Duke-Belmont, so I might be going to both games.

What's the purpose of that 65th team "play-in game"? Well, obviously money, but what's the point of adding a single team? If you're going to do that, have four play-in games where each winner takes on the number 1 seed. Or eight games and make the winners play the 2 seeds. You'll have a lot more dollars generated, and it will at least balance the field.
Or better yet, just dump this extra game.

I thought I was clueless-- one of our professors (philosophy) asked one of the girls in our office how she was filling out her bracket when they didn't play the games yet.... he fills his in as the games are won!

lol you guys are funny. Sometimes, you have just as much of a clue as to what's going to happen as the basketball fans and analysts do! I've seen people win brackets by just guessing!
Good luck!

West Virginia got a tough draw with Arizona, but I certainly believe if they can knock off UCONN, they can beat Arizona.
If WVU is playing it's A-game, they can beat Duke too-i have no doubt about that. It's just deciding on which WVU team will show up!
BTW-I'll get to go to 2 first round games in DC on Thursday night (WVU of course). whooohooo

It happened a few years ago when a new conference was created, and therefore another team with an automatic bid, but the selection committee wanted to keep the same number of at-large teams.

If you're in the Yahoo BN brackets, picks need to be in by the first game on Thursday, 12:20 p.m. EDT. The Tues. play-in game doesn't affect the pool.
