I'm not going there either this year, it was fun, but once was enough, especially with the $10 cover charges and $10 drinks, I'll save my fun money for other places this summer, and I'm on vacation that week as well!drunkpirate66 wrote:I will not be able to make this year's AC . . . but if you are on the fence about going I highly recommend it!
Last year was so much fun! Thank you Zuke, Tommy, Tracey and others!
Get cheap seats on the side of the stage . . . they are like a private booth. I had them last year . . . 66.00$ and was right over the stage and the Reefers came by and shook hands and handed out picks and such after the show! Awesome!

The key to drinking in AC is sit a table or slot machine and drink for free +tip.
Or get a bunch of people together and rent a room and "import" your party goods. It's definatley a
different place to see Buffett but I think that seeing Buffett on the Boardwaalk is really cool.
It's the Sunday Night Part That SUCKS!!!!

Found some cool old photos of Boardwalk Hall or as it was called then Convention Hall.
Wonder how many of us were alive when the second shot was taken. WAY BEFORE casinos. The other is from 1964
I remember back then between the "Golden Age" of AC and the "Casino Era" it was the "not so pretty time".
The highlight of the Boardwalk was the Planters Peanut Store. And be out of town by dark!

Planters Peanuts opened a store on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in 1930. It closed in 1978 and was eventually replaced with the Trump Taj Mahal. The Boardwalk Peanut Shoppe opened in 1972 and carries on the tradition.

Lyndon B. Johnson accepted his nomination on stage during the 1964 Democratic Convention in Boardwalk Hall.

I'm in! It's Eli's b-day that Monday, and I'm sure she'd be into an AC B-Day Buffett weekend! Maybe we hit the Borgata early Sunday a.m. and stay over that night & come back Monday!

I highly recommend going to the AC show if you missed last year’s. However, stay away from the beach bars ($10 cover, $7 beers). Firewaters at The Tropicana had Happy Hour with $2 Landsharks before the show.
I gotta go, where there ain't any snow.

I would recommend going too (had a great time last year), unfortunately being it will be a Sunday night show I will not be able to go. Hopefully there will be a Jones Beach show or one at MSG that I will be able to go to.
Come on Jimmy, change it to Saturday the 23rd!!!

If this is true.....tickets are going to be a b*tch to get....it only has slightly less than 1400 seats.......
And you know that they will hold many for comps.....
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Just speaking logically, last year he played the BW Hall sponsored by Harrah's entertainment, He's having a casino built in Biloxi w/ Harrah's Entertainment. Margaritaville LV is at the Flamingo a Harrah's Entertainment company. I just can't picture him playing at a Trump Property with his relationship with Harrah's.
