Anyone else watching the game at home or work? Nice gesture by the Yankees.

I just saw a clip on the online local news. nice gesture, to be sure. But I don't follow sports...are the New York Yankees playing at Tech for some reason?

The keet just called and said they had a great time. They sat behind the Yankees dugout and the players were gracious and talked with the kids and gave autographs. He was really excited to be about 2 feet from Derek Jeter.... :D

being two feet from Derek Jeter might be enough to make me lose my lunch, but this IS a very cool thing for the yankees to do... :D

I *hate* it when the Yankees do something ........ decent. It temporarily removes them from my permanent "Axis of Evil" (NY Yankees, Duke Blue Devils, Dallas Cowboys) list.

I couldn't agree more.

I just watched the highlights on Sportscentre. Yankees won 11-0. And the VA Tech baseball team couldn't have been happier with the loss. There were smiles all around. Looked like a great day at VA Tech.

First class move by the Yankees. Major kudos from a longtime Yankee hater. [smilie=coolup.gif]

We won some of those tickets in the lottery, but we figured we'd leave em for some real baseball fan to enjoy. It was pretty funny to see the might NY Yankees playing in our pathetic little VT baseball stadium!! I think on a normal game it sits about 500 people, if that many show up.
