FYI...the Las Vegas Parrothead Club is already starting to plan its annual Last Man Standing pre-party for Friday, 10/17......if you're debating which show to attend, try to make it the first one as this party always features some terrific entertainment and a great time for all (details to follow in the coming weeks.....but take my word, it will be worth it to attend!)

Our club usually gets tix through the Vegas club. But we have been doing it that way for a long time, so you will need to check with them.

Dean what are the possible locations this year? I hear Hooters may be changing . . . Anything from the coconut telegraph on this?
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

I do hope Jimmy is going to play Las Vegas on 10.25 We'll be in Hawaii the week before and our return flight gets us to Vegas on the 23rd. I know we'll miss the LMS party but at least we'll get to see Jimmy in Vegas again, that was one of the best shows I was at last year.

That sucks about Hooters. I just read the article. We stayed there last year for LMS and the Buffett show, it was great. I loved having LMS at our hotel (no walking or cabs). Anyone know if they are working on an alternative location? Also anyone know which show Fingers is rumored to be at? I would love to see him.

Where is LMS going to be this year? Is anyone planning to stay at Flamingo or MGM? I am looking at airfare and hotels and these two are pretty close in price.

I remember back in '03 I booked rooms at Key Largo and San Remo, and would go with whatever was nicer for the money. We took one look at Key Largo and cancelled before even stepping foot on the property. We went to San Remo because of the proximity to MGM. We stayed there one night, then went over to MGM the next night.

Hooters has been great the past 2 years, but it looks like that may change this year. Who knows though, maybe they won't start renovations until after October... either way, Vegas here we come!

Flamingo is where we always stay...after doing this for a few years we've decided it holds the best of all worlds- Margaritaville, the Street Party, centrally located on the Strip, great pool... and the monorail takes you straight to the MGM for the pool party & concert. Works great for our motley crew! :pirate: :wench: :pirate: :wench: :pirate: :wench: [smilie=blush.gif]

It is really nice since the monorail strated running. I remember packing into that thing with a but 500 parrotheads and we surrounded a Japanese couple and they were shitting themselves.

I remember an old couple at check in at the Key Largo and heard them say "Oh look, the parrots are going to be here, that should be lovely listening to those birds at night" after they saw a welcome parrotheads banner...
Boy did they get an awakening, literally.

[smilie=cool.gif] My daughter & I loved the San Remo & stayed there for years, UNTIL it became Hooters! That was the end for us, but we stayed there for 10 years or so, every summer, and now that it's changing hands & won't be Hooters, maybe we'll go back. We've rented a time-share the last couple of years, but have never gone for Buffett before. Of course, we do spend our fair share of $$$ at Margaritaville! This year, we can't do Philly so are hoping the potential dates showing up are correct, and we'll be there this year. Fins Up all!!
