Unfortunately got there too late to go the Duck and due to personal situations, need to leave right after the show and drive home. I did not get to see anyone from BN! Hopefully next year!
Well,,back to work!
I was in sec 217 and got yelled at for standing

he must have thought it was church

Mac did open with church music..... OH WELL....that what happen when he play those indoor shows

We were in Section 221...many, many people sitting and complaining that were were up dancing! I told the guy behind me he could either move or watch my big butt dance the whole night!
I have a 14 year old keet (boy)who did not want to be there and sat (grimmed faced!) most of the night. He started to get angry however, when the same guy starting making comments to/about me. As soon as I repeated the "butt"comment and he realized I was not phased by the "sitter", he laughed and lightened up! I wound up throwing my lei to the guy and he actually smiled and got up for a bit....

Congrats Fu! But your wristband is different than the one I caught! Mine says Jamaica on one side and has a running Jamaican guy on the other:

The other side says Jamaica on it...

I thought the sound was kinda crappy. Good thing I know all the songs and singing so loud It really didn't matter. Show seemed kind of rushed though.
I was also in 106. Lot's-o-people up dancing. When I first sat down, saw 3 older than me people next to me, and asked them if this was they're first Buffett show. They said it was. So I politely told them to be prepared to stand most of the night, cause everyone would be up dancing and singing all night. they had no problem with that and said they expected that.

The place is a barn!!! When the Stones played there in 1989 they did three shows and one was PPV. They hung huge banners from the roof to try and cut down on the echo. Sound system have improved but Boardwalk Hall has not done anything to improve the sound for shows.
I heard a rumor that after MGM is built they are going to build a arena betwen Borgata and MGM for big concerts and events. from what I hear they give up a fair share of money to host concert at the Hall.

Many, many thanks to UpstateNYPH/Mike. His persistence and negotiating skills found us some incredible seats. I can't thank him enough.
The show was great. The set list was great. The band was on. Everyone on stage was having fun; I swear I even saw Roger Guth smile.
Just an amazing evening.
Oh, oh! And talk about karma and what goes around comes around.... MIKE CAUGHT ONE OF JIMMY'S WRISTBANDS!!!!

Wow Jen,

so glad you and Mike made it, congrats Mike!!!!
It was an amazing show, amazing weekend.
We could have stood all night, we were in 206, not one person complained.

We did stand for most of the night, I have pics will post them soon. Mac and Fingers, Frinzi, with Dennis from Tropical Soul, Doyle and Peter stopped by to say hello at the Ducktown. What a weekend!!!!!!!!!

We did stand all night. And a few times the couple of rows in front of us didn't, so we essentially had front row at that point.
Who the heck springs for a front row seat at a JB show and then SITS??
Hey hey hey, they stood for margaritaville and CBiP

Geeze, first row and the did that, gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, probably comped, damn I have to spend more money in AC.
Agree with you Deb, the whole weekend was a blast, good seeing everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually think the first row probably bought theirs. I heard the man ask the woman afterwards if she thought it was worth the money. She was grinning ear to ear and said yes. To be fair, they seemed like they were enjoying the music but were a little older and since they could see just fine sitting I think that's what they did for some of the show. Fans, yes, but crazy like us, maybe not...

Seemed like they probably don't get to many shows and maybe it was her birthday or something.
The second row... now THEY were comped. And they left early.

We had a great time this weekend. It was great to see BN’ers that I have met before and to meet new one’s. Mac’s show was better than I could have imagined. Hearing A Pirate Looks at 40 with Fingers was unbelievable. My wife is now a big Mac fan. Ducktown was a blast. Meeting Peter and Doyle was a big surprise. It was my first time seeing John Frinzi and he was great. We didn’t have any real problems in Section 204. The sound was pretty good up there. There were more empty seats that I would have thought. Thanks again to everyone for a great weekend.

What a great weekend! We had a wonderful experience. We've never been to a concert that didn't have tailgating, and we truly enjoyed going to different tailgate parties - we thought we'd hate it.
We started at the Bikini Beach Bar for Howard Livingston and Mile Marker 24 Band. They put on an awesome show - we'd already seen them earlier in the weekend, but the crowd that was there on Sunday made the show even better. The couple that was with us stayed at Howard's show because they were having so much fun. My wife and I left and it Ducktown - I'm guessing about 5PM. John Frinzi was great. We stayed about an hour then headed back to Bally's.
We were disappointed with the sound, but I'm glad to read here that it is the hall - not the sound system. I was wondering how JB had agreed to play with such a horrible system. We had people yelling at us to sit down too - and I was especially surprised by the number of empty seats throughout the concert hall. I just don't think that would have happened a few years ago - do you? Maybe it's because I've never been to a concert that is all assigned seating! I'm used to the outdoor venues!
All and all it was a GREAT weekend. Can't wait for the next one!
