A lot went to Stout's last fall. Not a Buffett bar. Well, not until we showed up anyway. It was packed, a lot of fun & close to the Garden.

Another good place to go to closer before the show starts (say around 6 or so, since its right across from the Garden) is Local West. They have a rooftop bar. Went there last year before the show - pretty cool! 8)

We are coming in from San Diego.......

What does anyone think about the outdoor bar at Bryant Park? I love this place and it is a nice spot on a nice day......

This will be my first Buffett show at MSG. Haven't been to NYC in years and we just got lucky with Jimmy being there at the same time. Can anybody give me any suggestions on where to go before the concert? I've only seen him in the South and am not really sure how the tailgating is in New York.

still early to tell-in past years had a great time in the old charlie O's-got to Stouts late last year wasn't bad--keep checking out these threads

We are coming from San Diego and asking the same questions. That said, I keep an apartment in Midtown Manhattan and from my experience, one great outdoor bar is in Bryant Park by around 42nd street and 5th avenue. Unless this thread points out something big, my group will be there. If you go, look for the idiot with a California license plate PIRET40 hanging around his neck. That will be me.
