. . . in Washington DC of all places!
. . . Gorbey allegedly tried to manufacture a "weapon of mass destruction, that is, an explosive device capable of causing multiple deaths or serious bodily injuries to multiple persons, or massive destruction of property," according to the indictment.

. . . U.S. Capitol Police discovered the explosive device three weeks later when they returned with a search warrant to check the truck, which was in a government parking lot . . . . Now U.S. Capitol Police are investigating how their bomb squad missed the bomb.

. . . The device was made of a can of gunpowder taped to a box of shotgun shells and a bottle with buckshot or BB pellets, according to court documents.

Of course, this stuff might not be what those guys said they were looking for over in Iraq five years ago, but still . . .

On the other hand, I think collectively we've gone a little overboard when we start referring to this kind of ordnance as WMDs.

Heck, the 'Vice' President packs more ammo than this just to spend a few hours in the Texas sunshine shooting friends . . . uh . . . I meant shooting 'with' friends.

Happily, someone was able to throw a butterfly net over Mr. Gorbey before he could hurt anyone.

Haven't you heard? The troop surge is working so well that United States forces will only need to be in Iraq another 100 years.

The government in Taiwan is the descendent of the government that was allies to the US in WWII it may very well have been the intention. Also, given that the US sold/gave missle technology to the Chinese during the 1990's, this could be viewed as maintaining the balance of power in the region.
