Love being barefoot?
With summer coming, I figured I'd ask....all kidding aside.....anyone else hate having their feet covered?
The only shoes I wear are flip flops, thong sandals, and backless clogs sometimes in the winter. I absolutely hate any shoes that make my feet feel confined. If I wear tennis shoes to the gym, I have to change into flip flops before leaving. I shovel snow in flip flops. And don't even get me started on socks.
I think it's genetic. My dad and aunt never drive with shoes on and always go barefoot too.
Anyone else have this issue?

I'm just happy that it looks like I can put away the boots for the season. Just like I did for the first time two weeks ago.

I want my feet free!
I have to wear Business Casual at work so I cheat and have "Dress Flip Flops" or boat shoes. So far so good nobody has sent me a memo yet.

It felt SOOOO good to walk around my deck barefoot the other day... (first day of Spring.) Think I'll go do it now and dig some more leaves out of the pool.
When I was a kid in the summer, I'd wear shoes one day a week, to church on Sunday, so I know what you mean.
Now, though, with fallen arches, I can't go shoeless or even wear flipflops unless they have arch support. (Good luck with that!) My heel will kill me for a week afterward, so I gotta have these running shoes or orthotics most of the time.
Enjoy it while you can, carey!

I have black heels for funerals only and that's the extent of my dress shoe collection.

my knees bother me sometimes and I have superflat feet (also from my dad). check out "fit flops". they're a lil expensive but they have support. I wear them to the gym now instead of tennis shoes.carolinagirl wrote:It felt SOOOO good to walk around my deck barefoot the other day... (first day of Spring.) we can easily wear sandals year around here, and flip flops almost year around...I spend most of the summer barefoot
however, I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot and hadn't been doing the exercises to keep my foot limber..
I wore my Birks, which I adore, and was in extreme pain for almost 3 weeks. I'm not sure if it was from the Birks or my not doing the required exercises.
I do my exercises faithfully now, but haven't tried the Briks since then..
considering I have 3 pair of Birks, and they aren't cheap, also a new pr. of flip flops I've hardly worn, I'm hoping it was my negligence in not doing the exercises......
I'm hoping I can wear the Birks, flip flops, and go barefoot, soon.

I was talking about frostbite.... Shea butter won't save you from -30 temps...carey24 wrote:my feet crack then bleed by the end of february. I have to slather them with shea butter.
