Today on Jeopardy, to paraphrase a question: Fans of this singer are called Parrot heads. :D

Anyone ever play that trivia game that was in every bar about 5 years ago? There was a question that asked "He sang about how his head hurt, his feet stank and he didn't love Jesus"...
I yelled out "Jimmy Buffett" and everyone laughed. Then the answer came up and everyone stared at me like "how the hell did you know?".

Then I went to the car and got my gun and came back. They never laughed at me again. [smilie=blush.gif]

Well there is this:

http://www.buffettnews.com/resources/di ... /?album=16

And this:

http://www.************.com/disco/mango/

And this........:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Harrison_Ford

And blah blah blah.......

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe ... tnG=Search

And lastly, the shame of it is MCA did such a crap job with the CD issues it's no wonder anyone knows anything. Jimmy's albums will never get the proper treatment (proper remastering and packaging) of reissues as AC/DC's albums have along with The Rolling Stones, The Cult, U2 etc...they started getting better with Floridays and nailed it with Hot Water through Christmas Island. I think the only old release to get somewhat of a decent liner job was You Had To Be There. Otherwise it's all garbage.

But now that it's all available online MCA won't have to bother. And giving the albums a proper remaster will never happen because there's not really a demand for his back catalog like there is of who I mentioned above yet alone who I didn't mention. I know there are people who used to post here in mad rants about how it could be done, it hasn't been done, etc...but Buffett fans are not the important voices, it's the wigs at MCA that determine that.

And they are one classless record label.
