Because originally the rumor was that the show was going to be impromptu, so to speak. Everything that came out of MV supported that theory. When I found out when and where the show was I posted it. But turns out instead of it being an impromptu show for everyone it is a annouced private show. but whatever, same date, same location - I'm there!

Can anyone who lives in AZ and knows that location tell me how easy it might be for a Californian to crash this show? Everything I've read said you must be an Arizona resident... I've got a few So Cal friends that would make the road trip but I don't want to get my hopes up if there's no chance.

It appears the Radio Margaritaville tickets allow a non-Arizona resident to attend, but before I made a road trip I'd double check it, because there may be some ambiguity in the rules. That said, you'd still have to win.

As far as purely crashing the party, they could pretty well block off the area no non-ticket holders can't see anything and can't hear much.

you'll be able to hear OK away from the fountain square - but not see a whole lot

they will probably put up some kind of gate on the northern side of M'ville and it's easy to control the east/west enterances and to the S is the hockey stadium - the stage is surrounded by buildings and will face towards the cafe

fairly small area so 4k sounds about right

i need tickets for this show

You dont need to be a resident to go - just to win them from MV. Is my understanding. But I have 4 tix and 2 people who are going with me are not residents of AZ. I would doubt you'll be able to see anything. :(

Okay, here it is. There are only roughly 4,000 tickets for this private showing. They are spread here-there-and everywhere. The drawing at the Glendale cafe requires you to be an Arizona resident to win, however I have heard no such restrictions in other drawings. The plaza will be closed to the public, I have no idea how close you can get without a ticket. This is the same venue that just recently housed the Super Bowl, so they really know what they are doing, and I highly doubt you can come out and "crash" the party. I wouldn't come out without a sure thing if it were me, but suit yourself. I may... and I REITERATE may have a ticket or 2 left over.. I'd love to take every Jimmy lovin Parrothead I know, but that's just isn't happening, these passes are proving to be worth their weight in gold.

As alot of you already know, I work at the venue, and I can ASSURE you the restaurant is NOT in possession of all 4,000 tickets.. What I do know is they are trying desperatly to fairly hand these out, but bottom line 4,000 tickets--40,000 people want them, someone gets disappointed. I actually got my ticket from the AZPHC, not the venue

PM me, I'll see where the dust settles when it's all over.

It ain't much, but it's all I got right now..

Peace.

i ended up just crashing the show - was able to get to the 2nd level outside the sushi restaurant, facing the stage with my back to one of the columns - completely jealous of those in the throngs inside, but 100% pumped to be catching a free JB show, an acoustic one at that

was still a blast and a nice way to unwind from a day at work
