Here is my biweekly Vegas Report, some old news

THE LATEST Las Vegas production from Cirque du Soleil will star magician Criss Angel from the A&E television series "Mindfreak" and will open at the Luxor Las Vegas on Sept. 12. The show, entitled "Criss Angel Believe," promises to be a "haunting exploration deep inside the inventive mind of mystifier Criss Angel as he hovers between the land of the living and a surreal world uniquely woven together by the distinctive imaginations of Criss Angel and Cirque du Soleil." The show will open for preview performances on Sept. 1 in a custom built theater; tickets for the preview performances are on sale now to Criss Angel Loyals, Cirque Club members and Luxor Insiders. For more information, visit www.crissangel.com or www.cirquedusoleil.com/crissangel.

IN OTHER ENTERTAINMENT NEWS:
Donny and Marie Osmond will become permanent fixtures on the Las Vegas Strip, headlining the Flamingo Showroom at the Flamingo Las Vegas starting Sept. 9 (<karat's b-day). The 90-minute show will reportedly showcase Donny and Marie's greatest hits on a custom designed stage with multiple video screens and a large cast of dancers. Tickets are available by calling (702) 733-3333 or visiting www.flamingolasvegas.com .
• Las Vegas favorite Danny Gans will debut at Steve Wynn's Encore when the property opens in February. Singer, comedian, impressionist and actor, Gans is known as the "man of many voices." Gans and Wynn have a long history together: Wynn built the Danny Gans Theater at The Mirage in 2000, and Gans has headlined there for the past eight years.
• Wynn Las Vegas announced that "Monty Python's Spamalot" will close in July, after a successful 15-month run.

MORE THAN 100 of Nevada's restaurants, bars and nightclubs are expected to participate in the 18th annual Epicurean Affair, which takes place at the Flamingo Las Vegas May 1. The charity event offers food, cocktails and entertainment that includes aerialists, acrobats, go-go dancers and DJs. Restaurants and nightclubs expected to participate include Restaurant Guy Savoy, Bradley Ogden, Payard Patisserie & Bistro, Fleur de Lys, Tao and Body English. To purchase tickets, call (702) 733-3333 or visit www.flamingolasvegas.com.

TAO Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino has been named the highest-grossing independently owned restaurant in the U.S. for the second year running by Restaurants & Institutions magazine: The restaurant reported food and beverage sales totaling $66.6 million in 2007, up 20% from 2006. Its owners attributed part of the increase to the addition of the Tao Beach swimming pool, which opened in May. Tao Las Vegas bested second place finisher, New York's Tavern on the Green, by almost $30 million, and it did so with a dining room that seats 400 -- Tavern on the Green's dining room seats 1,500.

I'd give it a couple months.....we're still quite a ways out and sounds like they're still trying to nail down details....
no worries, they'll take good care of us!

They have a paypal account that makes it uber easy to get tickets....we got ours just a couple of weeks before we left and it was a piece of cake!

I haven't decided if I'm coming in on Thursday night and staying till Sunday (this is probably most likely, leaving early Sunday afternoon) depends on when the "Last Man Standing" (or equivalent) party is going to be held
