I think the bets are that it still will be a Hooters. Honestly, it's not the fanciest Hotel on the block in that city, but it was clean, had comfortable beds, decent rates, and close to the action. The LMS is scheduled to be held there, and there hasn't been any mention of changing it to date from the LVPHC.

And it has a restaurant with GREAT bacon!!

Well we will be going to the 18th show for sure not so sure about the second showing yet.

I informed the boss yesterday who promptly told me no more vacation time for you. However I did remind him that we covered this years ago when he hired me. I get 2 weeks in may and at least 2 Jimmy weekends a year... so now that he has been reminded I exxpect to get an approval e-mail anyday now.

Looks like last year a large group was at Hooters. Will it still be Hooters by concert time this year?
Who knows about Hooters... Let me ask you this:
How long do you plan on staying in Vegas?
Do you like to gamble?

If the answers 4-5 days and you do like to gamble....then stay on the Strip - Anywhere from Harrah's - Tropicana or Mirage to Excalibur.

You will find prices all across the board. go to: www.usairwaysvacations.com for an air and hotel combo - just to see what the pricing is like or try kayak.com

Many of us stay at Flamingo (I stayed there for 2 days and then the last 3 days at Hooters). I like Flamingo - it is fairly central on the Strip, M'vlle is there and the monorail is in back - which goes to MGM and across the street from Hooters. I have been to Vegas many times, I love it out there... but ask others and get their feel...I like to gamble, did not do much last time, but that is not the reason why I go - I just love it out there!

Welcome aboard - it will be a helluva ride!

You're going to love it!! Many of the airlines have packaged deals for vacations you might want to look at. You need to decide on your dates and then go from there. Make sure you get in early Friday or even Thurs. so you are rested for the Last Man Standing Party Fri. night. I like staying at Harrah's or the Flamingo (great pool!!)

The flamingo is going $175 a night right now for the first weekend......
$230 for the second....that's a lot lower than it was last year. We cram so many people in a room that it ends up being fairly cheap for us.

I think our biggest question would be whether we would miss out on fun if we stayed at MGM or NY NY.
We'll be there probably 4 nights and have been to Vegas before but have been spoiled
by the Frisco Feeding Frenzy and want to be right in the middle of the fun.

I stayed at Excalibur last year..... maybe this year I'll be able to move up. Excalibur wasn't too bad (and it's also kitty corner to the MGM).

This year Mitch and I are considering staying at a hotel ourselves. It seems we partied a bit hard for the neighbors liking and I do not like to explain why I am in a grass skirt and drunk at 6am to Metro. (they were not big buffett fans)

So for us it looks like either the flamingo or hooters we just need to stagger in for about 5 hours before heading home.
